• Supports full‑cycle subcontract and job cost accounting across multiple construction projects. • Manages pay applications, vendor invoices, bank reconciliations, job‑cost reviews, journal entries, tax filings, and monthly financial reporting. • Works closely with project managers to ensure accurate costing and timely reporting. • Supports detailed requests, presentations, and other high level to granular deliverables for the CFO, C-Suite, and major stakeholders of Transforming Age and GSI in relation to development projects. • Maintain accurate job costing and perform routine reconciliations. • Manage cash balances, payments, and bank reconciliations. • Prepare monthly financials, over/under billing schedules, and tax returns. • Support audits, financial draws, and vendor documentation. • May provide assistance on compliance related activities including various tax filing preparation and cost report preparation. • Perform general Fixed Asset Management as needed. • Support any month-end close, including carrying out all professional accounting activities. • Prepares materials for internal and external audiences, including reports, worksheets, analyses, documentation and other supporting schedules for auditors, tax returns, regulatory agencies; prepares detailed findings, conclusions, and recommendations. • Promotes the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's in accounting, finance or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of accounting and financial reporting experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations
- Strong experience with MS Excel and other MS Suite, including, Outlook, Teams, and other MS Suite.
- Workday experience a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot and critically think through processes and issues.
- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and critical thinking skills which support and enable sound decision making.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Role Description Eliquent is seeking an experienced GL Accounting Manager to play a hands-on role in general ledger accounting and to support accurate, timely financial reporting. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller and is a key individual contributor within the controllership function. The ideal candidate is a highly technical, detail-oriented accountant with strong ownership of the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and overall financial integrity. This role serves as the FloQast (FQ) subject matter expert, supporting close execution and training team members as needed. This position is currently an individual contributor with no direct reports, though it may evolve to include people management responsibilities as the accounting team grows. The GL Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with FP&A, Accounts Payable, Payroll, external tax advisors, and external auditors in a fast-growing, global environment. Key Responsibilities - General Ledger & Close (Hands-On) - Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, payroll, equity-related, and other complex transactions, in accordance with U.S. GAAP. - Review journal entries prepared by cross-functional teams or generated through integrated systems to ensure appropriate accounting treatment. - Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations; investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner. - Own key components of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established close timelines. - Maintain the integrity of the chart of accounts and general ledger structure within NetSuite. - Financial Reporting & Controls - Support the Assistant Controller in preparing internal financial reporting packages, variance analyses, and audit schedules. - Execute, maintain, and document internal controls related to general ledger and close activities. - Assist with external audits by preparing supporting documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and implementing required adjustments. - Identify and implement opportunities to improve close efficiency, reconciliation quality, and documentation standards. - Systems, Automation & AI Enablement - Act as a NetSuite power user for general ledger activities, ensuring accurate system setup, mappings, and transaction flows. - Perform daily and monthly close activities in FloQast, including reconciliation preparation, review coordination, and close task management. - Leverage automation tools such as Copilot and other AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight across accounting processes. - Partner with Finance leadership to test, refine, and adopt emerging AI-enabled workflows within the close and reconciliation process. - Cross-Functional & External Collaboration - Partner closely with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and actual-to-budget analyses. - Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Payroll teams to ensure complete and accurate expense recognition and liability recording. - Coordinate with external tax advisors to support tax provision inputs, filings, and tax-related accounting entries. - Serve as a technical accounting resource for questions related to transaction structure and accounting treatment.
