Location: RemoteDuration: 12 months Duties:The Information Technology IT Quality Assurance Lead (ITQA Lead) for the RCM Transformation Program is a senior, hands-on quality and validation leader responsible for ensuring the accuracy, stability, and end-to-end integrity of revenue cycle system changes across athenaIDX Hospital Patient Accounting (HPA) and Billing Accounts Receivable (BAR), as well as a complex ecosystem of upstream and downstream clinical, financial, and ancillary systems. This role combines deep revenue cycle expertise, advanced technical QA/testing capabilities, and leadership accountability for quality outcomes across multiple interdependent initiatives. Key responsibilities include: - Provide end-to-end QA oversight for athenaIDX integrations, ensuring accurate data flow across patient demographics, encounters, charges, coding, claims, and payments - Design and execute system integration testing (SIT), end-to-end (E2E), regression testing, charge validation, claim validation, and workflow testing - Identify impacted systems and integration touchpoints for athenaIDX changes and coordinate validation activities across teams - Partner with Interface, Application, Vendor, Compliance, HIM, Coding, Finance, and Revenue Cycle Operations teams to resolve defects and ensure regulatory alignment - Validate charge logic configurations, including Altera Charge Logic Module workflows, ensuring accurate, compliant, and auditable charge capture - Verify elimination of duplicate charges/documentation and ensure downstream posting accuracy into athenaIDX - Lead QA for dictionary and table configuration changes, ensuring accurate mapping and downstream system impacts are fully tested - Execute pre- and post-implementation validation to confirm system integrity, stability, and workflow consistency - Oversee QA for Edits and Hold Bills optimization initiatives, including validation of edits removal, creation, and revision logic - Test ETM and EDI workflows to ensure improved claim routing, reduced rejections, and alignment with user roles and operational processes - Support denial prevention initiatives by identifying and validating upstream system issues contributing to preventable denials - Validate fixes related to medical necessity, prior authorization, site-of-service rules, oncology billing, infusion services, clinical trials, pharmacy, and 340B workflows - Develop test strategies, test plans, scripts, defect tracking, and formal QA sign-off documentation - Provide governance, QA standards, and readiness assessments across all RCM transformation initiatives - Communicate risks, issues, testing status, and quality outcomes to program and executive leadership Skills: - Strong expertise in athenaIDX HPA and BAR systems - Deep knowledge of revenue cycle operations, charge capture, billing, and claims processing - Experience with system integration testing (SIT), E2E testing, and regression testing - Strong understanding of ETM, EDI workflows, edits, hold bills, and denial management - Knowledge of oncology revenue cycle workflows including infusion, clinical trials, and specialty pharmacy billing - Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and defect resolution skills - Ability to lead cross-functional QA efforts and influence without direct authority - Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical issues into operational and financial impact - Experience with compliance, HIM, coding, and revenue integrity requirements Experience: - 10+ years of experience in healthcare IT quality assurance and revenue cycle systems - Extensive hands-on experience with athenaIDX HPA and BAR required - Proven experience leading large-scale system integration and end-to-end testing initiatives - Experience in complex hospital or academic medical center environments strongly preferred - Oncology or complex specialty revenue cycle experience highly preferred - Experience supporting enterprise RCM transformation programs preferred Education:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
