In this role, you will drive technical website projects from conception to release in service of achieving company goals, including bolstering enrollment and supporting retention. This role places heavy emphasis on deploying and supporting a wide range of mission critical front-end websites, with particular emphasis on innovation of new digital website experiences and establishing sound operations to ensure timely maintenance of essential content. To be successful, you’ll need to be detail-oriented and initiative-taking. We need a broad thinker who can make suggestions, take constructive feedback with a good attitude and without pushback, and then go out and personally execute with diligence. If you are a detail-oriented, technically savvy collaborator with strong communications skills and ability to think creatively and provide a polished finished product, we’re probably a good fit. This position is full-time and work-from-home. Job Duties - Serve all stakeholders with integrity, humility, and joy while consistently modeling the importance of both task competency and relationships; - Participate in Company events, activities, and meetings with a smile and an infectious, great attitude; - Responsible for technical leadership of the company’s web development and digital technology initiatives to create effective and innovative solutions for company websites and digital platforms; - Ensure company websites meet the technical requirements for modern search engines to support SEO initiatives, are optimized for speed, and are mobile-friendly, and ensures all websites comply with relevant laws, accessibility regulations, and industry standards; - Oversee technical maintenance of CMS, troubleshoot errors, manage system upgrades, and manage and train users in best practices and usage; - Design, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests (headlines, CTAs, layouts, form structures, etc.) to continuously improve conversion rate and reduce cost per lead; - Partner with marketing and enrollment teams to align landing page messaging with ad intent, keyword targeting, and user expectations to improve Quality Score and conversion efficiency; - Monitor the health of the sites in order to identify site-speed problems or hidden code errors that are damaging to the user experience or SEO rankings, and serves as the first point of contact for potential website outages and downtime alerts for the company, notifying all relevant stakeholders; - Assures that all search engine results accurately reflect online web presences (landing pages, company sites, etc.); - Serve as the primary liaison with web development consultants and vendors to: - Deliver code solutions (HTML, JavaScript, SASS/CSS, etc.) for different kinds of website bugs or areas of improvement as they arise; - Build out custom coding solutions for various kinds of new website elements from image/mockup conceptions; - Assist with continued maintenance and ever-evolving functionality needs of the website to facilitate conversions and meet other strategic business objectives; - Collaborate on maintenance of the servers for all websites and applications maintain all plugins, and assures that a regular maintenance schedule is followed; - Oversee the online code repositories that contain all of the SASS and CSS stylesheets for company websites and applications; - Analyze quantitative data (web metrics, revenue reporting, etc.) and qualitative data (surveys, screen recordings, etc.) to develop insights about the user behavior; - Ensures that all web content adheres to brand standards and follows company UAT procedures and quality control processes prior to release; - Maintains WordPress platforms by ensuring themes, plugins, and core systems are regularly updated, secure, and operating under routine maintenance and performance checks; - Keep abreast of new cybersecurity threats and technologies, and recommend and implement security enhancements for web presences as needed; - Implement styling and UX recommendations across websites and applications; and - All other duties as assigned. Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to consistently lead and serve others with humility, kindness, empathy, and joy; - Organized, motivated self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to articulate findings to leadership and colleagues; - Phenomenal attention to detail and a passion for delivering the highest quality and error-free websites; - Strong track record of delivering work above expectations, on time, and on budget; - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present analysis/insights to leadership; - Strong project management experience, with often changing priorities and tight timelines; - Proven experience in managing website CMS enhancements and the end to end requirements, testing and documentation process. You love to improve performance via testing and experimentation; - Highly analytical thinker who makes decisions based on pattern recognition and data; - Lifelong student continuously expanding your knowledge of consumer psychology, web tech and tools, and analytical testing approaches; - Ability to work in a fast-paced, high energy, team environment and juggle multiple tasks - Strict attention to detail; and - Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization and clients; Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer information systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training; - Minimum of five (5) years experience in web development management; proven success engineering website experience; - Proven experience in managing website CMS enhancements and the end to end requirements, testing and documentation process, with ability to improve performance via testing and experimentation; - Familiarity with a multi-environment dev-to-production workflow; - Ability to determine functional requirements from wireframes and feature requests; - Ability to continuously learn and apply new technologies; - UI/UX, user experience design experience; - Motivated, focused and self-guiding; works well on a small team; - Experience with Mac and Google Suite preferred; - Strong experience with Mac OS, Google Workspace, and Asana preferred; - Private, distraction-free, professional remote work environment with high-speed internet; and - Ability to pass required background checks. Base Pay Range $70,000—$90,000 USD Benefits - Medical, dental, and vision employee coverage for as little as $1 each per month; - Personal paid time off in addition to major holidays; - Short-term disability insurance, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and AD&D insurance are all 100% paid by the employer; and - 401(k) with employer contributing a dollar-for-dollar match of employee contributions up to 6% of employee earnings.
