Fire Protection Survey Technician – Travel

WD Partners

• Travel frequently to client sites - typically multiple days per week - local and/or overnight, via car and/or plane, to complete site surveys independently or with others on our Fire Protection and/or Field Services teams • Work on design-related tasks to help our team take design and construction projects from a defined concept to completion • Collaborate across integrated, cross-disciplinary teams of designers, architects, and engineers • Gain experience in fire protection systems and fire protection design

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Willingness to travel as needed (typically multiple days per week)
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and able to drive, travel by air, and rent a vehicle without restrictions
  • Prior experience in fire protection design, fire sprinkler design, fire alarm design, or fire protection system field installation is preferred
  • Prior experience in site surveys of fire protection systems is preferred
  • Experience using Revit is preferred
  • Prior experience with restaurant, retail, grocery, and/or healthcare design projects is helpful
