As a Field Service Technician you will develop and maintain strong relationships with ACIST Medical Systems customers by providing quality technical support of the company’s electro-mechanical devices. You will also provide preventive maintenance, emergency field service and installation of ACIST products within a specified geographical area. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Respond to all customer requests for service by establishing cause of equipment failure and performing repairs. This requires the use of proprietary software and tools to determine and correct system failures. - Replace parts needed to correct malfunction and perform proper tests to ensure operation of the equipment after repair. Testing requires use of electronic equipment and fixtures unique to ACIST injectors. - Respond to requests for emergency service as required. This may include after-hours and weekends. - Assist with or perform the installation of proprietary injector systems at customer locations as requested. The injector may connect to OEM equipment and possibly the hospital network. - Prepare detailed service and failure records for work performed and enter all information into the ACIST service tracking database. - Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through knowledge of injector systems and the use of verbal and listening communication skills. - Effectively plan, organize and prioritizes workload and schedule travel to respond to all service calls within budget. - Assure all regulatory compliance issues are being followed in the department’s activities, e.g. GMPs, ISO, and Corporate QA and ethics policies. - Maintain tools and test equipment in accordance with Company policy. If calibration is required, submit to Factory at designated times. - Provide assistance, as needed, to home-office Customer Support, the Service Project Engineer or other Field Service Team members. - Maintain trunk inventory by safeguarding assets and entering usage into NAV. Perform cycle counts as required and minimize variances to meet established goals. - Perform periodic preventive maintenance on equipment as required by contract or as stipulated by the engineering department. Establish schedules to ensure that preventive maintenance is performed at each customer site within the service region. To conduct preventive maintenance it is necessary to use proprietary test equipment developed for ACIST injector systems. - Perform modifications or updates (hardware and software) to injector systems as required. Software updates require use of special software and operating system developed internally. Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Minimum - Associates degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronic Technology, BioMed, or combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. - 1+ years experience in service, troubleshooting, analyzing and formulating solutions of electro-mechanical equipment, or Clinical Technologist experience (CT/MR). - Strong verbal, interpersonal and communication skills. - Customer service orientation. - Excellent analytical skills, especially in problem solving. - Electro-mechanical and hand-tool skills. i.e. wrenches and screw drivers - Knowledge on the use of measurement equipment (i.e. Digital Multi Meter, caliper, micrometer) - Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics. - Workload management and planning; attention to detail. - Computer experience: PC, Microsoft Office and database applications. - Familiarity with ISO, FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) and Quality Systems. - Demonstrated ability to follow manufacturing processes directions and drawings to mechanically assemble components (e.g., sheet metal parts, electrical parts) - The ability to maintain accurate documentation (e.g., record trace ability information onto routers, and transact materials online) - Ability to work as a team player while working autonomously within a defined region. Preferred: - Experience in field service related to medical equipment is preferred. - Experience as CT/MR Technologist is a plus. Other: - The environment is deadline sensitive. Frequent high-pressure situations in dealing with customers, field representatives, and management. Frequent high-pressure situations with product issues and field resolution - Ability to travel a minimum of 75% of the time or as required by role - Ability to work an “on-call” schedule based on customer needs. This includes being available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays. - Able to lift and manipulate equipment weighing 50# - Valid driver’s license.
