Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Specialist to support our title exam team in the preparation and processing of title commitments and policies. The customer service specialist will work closely with title examiners, assisting with research, documentation, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and timely title commitment and policy preparation. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a customer service-oriented mindset, and a basic understanding of title and escrow processes. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and develop within the title industry. Key Responsibilities: - Assist title examiners and officers in researching public records, deeds, mortgages, liens, and other property-related documents. - Prepare and organize title documents and reports, ensuring all necessary information is accurate and complete for each real estate transaction. - Support the title department in compiling title commitments, policies, and endorsements. - Communicate with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other parties to gather necessary information and resolve any outstanding title-related issues. - Assist with resolving title discrepancies and ensuring title clearance for closing. - Input and maintain transaction information in title and escrow software systems. - File and maintain accurate and organized records of title searches, reports, and other documents. - Provide general administrative support to the title department, including scheduling, answering phones, and responding to emails. - Assist with post-closing duties such as recording documents and issuing final title policies. - Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant state and federal regulations related to real estate transactions. Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent required. - 1-2 years of experience in a support or administrative role in the real estate or title industry is preferred, but not required. - Basic knowledge of title insurance, escrow processes, and real estate transactions. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with title software (such as SoftPro, RamQuest, or ResWare) is a plus. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - High attention to detail and accuracy when preparing and reviewing documents. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude. - Willingness to learn and grow within the title industry. Preferred Qualifications: - Some college coursework in real estate, business, or a related field is preferred. - Previous experience working in a title agency, real estate office, or legal environment. - Familiarity with public records and real estate documents.
