GCI's Network Engineer III will apply engineering principles to multiple sub-groups within the Technology Solutions internal departments; responsible for architectural design, development, implementation, and support within the company and/or between business departments that follow telecommunication industry standards using engineering principles. As a key member of our team, you will have the responsibility as Client-facing Customer Success Network Engineer (CSE) to provide day-to-day support to various clients on multiple scenarios such as: - Transport and Routing support when deploying products on Client Environment. - Support on WAN technologies such as SD-WAN and IPsec VPN and routing technologies such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS. - Provide support on Cloud based Deployments like VNF (Virtual Network Functions) and CNF (Container Networking Functions). - Hands-on on Packaging solutions supporting OSP (Open Stack Platform - Heat/Hot Templates) and other cloud based platforms. About role: - Network infrastructure as code with Python, Ansible and Terraform. - Network Management, Product deployment on Client Environment with transport, CSE for clients. - Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VxLAN protocols, and L2/L3 VPNs. - Good understanding of 4G LTE/5G Core, Mobile Private Networks. - Adept with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools. - Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage multiple projects concurrently. - Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve current deployment, package and security issues and mitigate future risks effectively. - Capable of managing and coordinating project workflows, resolving vulnerabilities or security issues, and handling troubleshooting calls efficiently. Qualifications - Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience. - Classic Network Engineering experience. - Good to have Understanding of MPN (Mobile Private Networks). - Understanding, deployment, and troubleshooting experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols. - Cloud networking experience on various cloud platforms. - Understanding of fundamental concepts in OSP (Open Stack Orchestration Platform) as well as relevant experience. - Understanding of fundamental concepts in Kubernetes (K8S), WebScale etc. is a huge plus. - Infrastructure as code experience. - Experience with Git and GitHub. - Experience with Linux shell and Python. - Experience with Ansible. - Able to work well under pressure, multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively. - Exceptional ability and solid desire to learn new skills. Requirements - Holding Linux certification. - Holding CCNA or CCNP certification. - Hands-on experience with Software Defined Networking and distributed systems. - Familiarity with overlays and tunneling technologies. - Proven track record of success in a collaborative team environment, particularly in startup settings. - Prior working experience on one or more Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Alibaba cloud, etc.) is a plus.
