As the leading data security platform purpose-built for the cloud era, Cyera’s mission is to reinvent how businesses secure data, enable agile collaboration, and boldly pursue new business opportunities. Trusted by security teams at leading global businesses, our team is proving that data security is the next big thing in cyber. Backed by the world’s leading investors and working with a large and growing list of Fortune 1000 companies, we are looking for world-class talent to join us as we usher in the new era of data security. THE OPPORTUNITY A technical role on Cyera’s OCTO Data team, focused on maximizing the value customers get from the Cyera platform — making it work better for each customer’s unique data environment and feeding insights back into the product. This team is the breathing feedback loop between the field and the product. You’ll sit at the intersection of real-world customer data challenges and Cyera’s classification models, platform capabilities, and product roadmap. When the field encounters a gap between what Cyera delivers out-of-the-box and what a customer needs, you’re the person who understands why, fixes it, and ensures the product learns from it. Your work directly influences model tuning and product evolution. The patterns you uncover across customer environments become the signal that shapes what R&D builds next. This isn’t a support role — it’s a technical role where your expertise compounds into platform-wide improvements that benefit every customer. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Analyze customer data environments using SQL to identify gaps, anomalies, and opportunities to improve platform accuracy and coverage - Drive the feedback loop — translate field findings into actionable inputs for model tuning, product improvements, and R&D priorities - Design and build internal tools and automation that scale the team’s ability to deliver value across customers - Collaborate with field teams to ensure Cyera’s platform is tuned and configured for each customer’s specific data landscape - Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and best-practice frameworks - Partner with R&D and Research to close the gap between out-of-the-box capabilities and customer reality Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - 4+ years of hands-on experience working with large, complex datasets — including data analysis, manipulation, and deriving actionable conclusions - B.A./B.S. in Economics, Business, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related - analytical field — or equivalent practical experience - Proven ability to diagnose and solve ambiguous, multi-layered technical problems - Strong experience with structured and unstructured data—able to write and optimize queries, analyze datasets, and surface actionable insights, including strong proficiency in SQL. - Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native data architectures - Experience working in or with fast-paced startups or high-growth companies. - Familiarity with modern data architectures, cloud-native security tools, or data privacy frameworks. COMPENSATION INFORMATION: Compensation Range: $120,000-$140,000. The range represents total compensation, and may include incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable. This compensation range represents Cyera’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of posting, and Cyera may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. The final salary for this position will be determined in Cyera’s sole discretion, consistent with applicable law, and based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the employee’s work experience, skills, and qualifications for the role, as well as the needs of Cyera’s business and other operational considerations. Final compensation will vary based on seniority and relevance of experience, location, and position requirements. This role may be eligible for potential merit increases based on factors such as individual or company performance, time in role, and other discretionary factors. BENEFITS - Why Cyera? - Ability to work remotely, with office setup reimbursement - Competitive salary - Unlimited PTO - Paid holidays and sick time - Health, vision, and dental insurance - Life, short and long-term disability insurance Location Requirements null
