Job Description SUMMARY: The Manager of Data Analytics leads a team supporting Compliance, Funding Compliance, and Internal Audit through high-quality analytics, automation, and data-driven insights. This role ensures that data used in compliance monitoring, funding submissions, operational audits, and SOX testing is accurate, complete, well-documented, and audit-ready. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is forward-thinking, technically strong, and committed to building scalable, automated, and AI-enabled analytics solutions. Team Leadership & Development - Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analytics analysts. - Set standards for documentation, auditability, data lineage, and evidence retention. - Prioritize work across Compliance, Funding, and Internal Audit to ensure timely, high-quality results. Analytics Strategy & Execution - Oversee development of automated reports, dashboards, and analyses supporting compliance, funding accuracy, and audit/SOX needs. - Review complex analytics for accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness. - Drive implementation of automation, continuous monitoring, and AI-driven analytics. Funding Compliance Oversight - Lead deep-dive analytics that validate enrollment, attendance, and other data submitted for district and state funding. - Ensure funding data reconciliations and validations are accurate, documented, and reproducible. - Implement automated exception reporting and anomaly detection to reduce errors. Compliance, Privacy & Audit Support - Support operational and privacy compliance through automated validations and monitoring routines. - Guide the development of analytics for internal audits, risk assessments, and SOX testing. - Oversee population completeness testing, key report validation, and automated audit routines. Cross-Functional Partnership - Collaborate with IT, Data Engineering, School Operations, Funding, Security/GRC, and Internal Audit leadership. - Translate business questions into clear analytical requirements and communicate results effectively. - Present insights to senior leaders, highlighting risks, trends, and opportunities for automation. Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 1 - 5 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in analytics, with experience leading or mentoring others. - Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar tools. - Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). - Strong understanding of documentation, auditability, evidence standards, and data quality. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to clear required background check Certificates and Licenses: None required. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in compliance, funding, privacy, SOX, or internal audit environments. - Familiarity with enterprise data systems (ERP, HRIS, SIS, LMS). - Experience with automation tools or AI/ML analytics. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range. We anticipate the salary range to be $ 114,116.00 and $182,586.00 Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
