Role Description Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Business Systems Analyst II to serve as a liaison between the Business and Data Management and provide solutions to their business systems needs while understanding customers’ objectives, processes, and products as well as the business systems capabilities to formulate, define, document, and implement systems scope and objectives to develop and provide solutions. - Coordinate and lead activities with product owners to gather requirements. - Document detailed functional and non-functional requirements. - Identify data most valuable to the organization and evaluate this data and alignment with the corporate data model. - Manage business rules to enhance and optimize filtering results in the sanctions Application. - Use requirements management tools and techniques. - Support development, testing, implementation, and training activities. - Understand and apply delivery approaches and perform, independently, business analysis processes in accordance with Zurich Project management framework and the Zurich risk policy. - Provide subject matter discussions to others in the organization. Option to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related field of study. - 5 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Manager - Projects, Senior Test Analyst, Lead Business Analyst position, or similar position analyzing business systems. Requirements - 5 years of experience with designing and implementing advanced SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze complex datasets across multiple systems. - 5 years of experience supporting reporting and analytics initiatives. - 5 years of experience working with enterprise-level data warehouses to build and optimize data pipelines and ensure high-quality, reliable data sources for stakeholders. - 5 years of experience partnering with cross-functional teams to define key business metrics, identify performance trends, and develop dashboards and reporting tools. - 5 years of experience conducting deep-dive analyses to uncover root causes of business performance issues, providing recommendations that improved operational efficiency and revenue outcomes. - 5 years of experience automating recurring data tasks and reports, reducing manual effort and increasing data accessibility across departments. - 5 years of experience interpreting data findings into clear, concise visualizations using BI tools Tableau, Power BI, and Looker, and presenting insights to leadership and non-technical stakeholders. - 5 years of experience ensuring data accuracy and consistency through validation, documentation, and collaboration with data engineering teams. - 5 years of experience working with SQL, including complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, optimization. - 5 years of experience with Data Warehousing including Yellowbrick, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Teradata, and Oracle. - 5 years of experience with ETL/ELT including data pipelines and transformation logic. - 5 years of experience with Data Analysis and Visualization including using Business Object, Tableau, and Power BI. - 5 years of experience with Requirement Documentation including using IBM RSA for document creation and management. - 5 years of experience programming in Python for data analysis and automation. • Lead complex pre-sales engagements, including discovery, architecture design, solution positioning, and technical validation. • Act as a trusted advisor to IT practitioners, engineers, architects, and senior leaders by translating business objectives into secure, resilient, and scalable architectures. • Deliver compelling technical demonstrations and decision-maker presentations that clearly articulate business value, cyber risk reduction, and operational outcomes. • Design and manage proofs-of-concept (POCs) to technical closure, aligned to customer success criteria and operational realities. • Collaborate with customers and partners to define architectural strategies supporting data resilience, ransomware recovery, compliance, and hybrid-cloud adoption. • Create tailored proposals and contribute to enterprise-scale RFP and RFx responses. • Maintain strong awareness of industry trends, emerging threats, and competitive positioning to effectively represent Veeam in business discussions. • Partner closely with sales, product management, engineering, and ecosystem partners to influence solution architecture and product direction.
