Looking for Philippines-based candidates Job Role: E-Commerce Operations Lead (Shopify) Compensation range: $2000 AUD - $3000 AUD / Monthly Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home. Who The Client Is: Our client is a company dedicated to improving the lives of dogs and their owners through thoughtfully designed products that combine functionality and style. Role Overview: We are in search of an experienced and driven Ecommerce Manager to lead and manage all technical and operational aspects of the business, This includes ensuring product accuracy, smooth integration with 3PL systems, resolving website issues, managing sales and promotions, and supporting product launches. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role ideal for someone highly familiar with Shopify and ecommerce workflows. Key Responsibilities: Shopify Store Management: - Maintain and update multiple Shopify stores, including products, collections, navigation, and visuals. - Manage catalog structure, product bundles, tags, and variants across all storefronts. - Coordinate all product uploads and updates including imagery, descriptions, metafields, and pricing across multiple regions. Website Operations: - Troubleshoot daily website and checkout issues (e.g., incorrect charges, broken links, product display errors, inventory sync). - Implement and manage promotions, discount codes, and campaign settings. - Liaise with IT to resolve technical bugs (shipping errors, SKU mismatches, checkout glitches, etc.). 3PL & Fulfilment Coordination: - Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to ensure smooth order processing and fulfilment. - Troubleshoot integration or data flow issues between Shopify and fulfilment systems including wholesale accounts and third-party marketplaces. - Support returns system setup and bundle breakdowns as needed. Analytics & Optimisation: - Monitor ecommerce KPIs using Shopify Analytics and third-party tools. - Identify performance trends, errors, and opportunities to improve UX and conversion rates. - Implement data-driven improvements to support business growth. - Process Improvement & Quality Control: - Identify gaps or inefficiencies in ecommerce workflows. - Suggest improvements for website flow, catalog structure, or fulfilment processes.
Job Requirements
- Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing ecommerce operations, preferably in a high-SKU Shopify environment (500+ SKUs).
- Proven track record of managing and optimizing Shopify stores.
- Proven track record of driving online revenue growth through data-driven decisions.
- Strong knowledge of Shopify backend architecture and order workflows.
- Experience coordinating with 3PLs and troubleshooting fulfillment issues.
- Familiarity with ecommerce marketing basics (e.g., apps, promotions, discount codes).
- Comfortable handling both operational tasks and technical troubleshooting.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
