Appraisal Trainee

Role Description The Appraiser Trainee works directly with the supervisory appraiser(s). This position under supervision will assist with real estate appraisals accurately and uniformly according to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), as well as supporting the marketing efforts of the company through business line referrals. This individual will work as a Trainee to gain the necessary skills and experience to become a licensed Certified General Appraiser. - Assists with appraisals of real estate according to the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and Farmers National Company Standards. - Provides appraisal services to customers ensuring customer needs and timeliness expectations are met. - Assists with appraisal assignments assigned and generates fee appraisals adequate to meet productivity expectations and assist in meeting department objectives. - Monitors real estate value trends through knowledge and analysis of sales. - Serves as a consultant and resource for farm management and real estate staff concerning appraisal matters. - Performs additional duties as assigned and required. Qualifications - Undergraduate degree in Agriculture, or related field. - Ability to acquire and maintain a State Certified General Appraisal License. Requirements - Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions. - Continually required to talk and hear for client and team communication. - Frequently required to sit at a computer workstation to complete typed reports and research. - Frequently required to walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. - Visual observation of property condition, use of technical tools and maps is required. - Use of personal automobile to inspect properties and attend client and/or company meetings. - Frequent travel for property inspections, company meetings or functions is required.
