Responsibilities and Qualifications Duties and Responsibilities: - Analyzes/researches business problems to determine the impact on existing business and IT systems and procedures, as well as the feasibility of automation. - Conforms with PMO guidelines and procedures when developing IT solutions to defined business problems using structured methodologies. Conducts meetings with customers to ensure requirements are defined and adequately satisfied. - Designs innovative solutions using emerging and existing technologies for business problems and determines feasibility and practicality of implementation within current or future environments. - Prepares test data and conducts program and system tests to ensure compliance. Assists customers in establishing acceptance criteria and effectiveness of proposed solutions. - Maintains knowledge of the department’s programming languages and tools, coding and design techniques, data base management systems, processing platforms and emerging technologies through continued education. Skills: - Ability to learn and support new technologies as needs arise. - Ability to participate in a production support on-call schedule. Knowledge: - Knowledge of ITIL service management concepts including change, incident, and request management. Experience: - Experience and knowledge of ETL development tools - Experience with Subversion as a source code management tool. - Experience developing Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures preferred but not required. - Experience with EngageOne (a.k.a Streamweaver) preferred but not required. - Experience working with an enterprise batch schedule (i.e. Tidal). Ability to understand complex dependencies between batch jobs and requirements for defining new batch jobs in an existing schedule. - Experience working with integrated business systems that handles claims processing, membership, billing, network, clinical, customer service, and product processes. - Experience with BCBSA or FEP claims processes preferred but not required. As the Forward Deployed Engineer you will be serving as a key technical contributor at the intersection of engineering and customer success. In this role, you’ll translate complex technical requirements into high-performing solutions that drive measurable results for ecommerce clients, working closely with merchant teams to integrate, optimize, and troubleshoot across diverse web platforms. This position is highly hands-on and involves managing the technical lifecycle from onboarding through optimization. You will focus on debugging JavaScript, writing and refining transform scripts, configuring caching rules, and diagnosing complex CDN behaviors across Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), and other custom storefront environments. The goal is to ensure efficient site performance and stability while supporting continuous improvement across client deployments.
