You will work to deploy, operate, support customer environments, and automate tasks using Site Reliability and Cloud Engineering best practices. Role Description The Quality Assurance Engineer will find bugs, defects, and regressions. Design, implement, execute, and debug test cases and/or automated test scripts. Validate and document completion of testing and development. Verify fixes and help ensure successful releases by planning and executing test activities for exploratory and regression testing. This position will demonstrate and apply product, domain, or technical expertise to maximize the quality of testing for a development team. Maintain a positive and professional attitude. Identify opportunities for improving processes, training and tools and make appropriate recommendations to management. Essential Tasks - Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback - Develop testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with the functional requirements and detail technical specifications provided by the design team to ensure code generated by the development team conforms to the specified requirements - Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities within a cross-functional development team - Design, develop and execute test cases and/or automation scripts using provided tools - Identify, record, document, and track bugs - Perform regular regression, exploratory and system testing as required - Monitor and maintain bug backlogs for accuracy - Intranet page owner responsibilities - Leverage AI-enabled tools and analytics to enhance decision-making, improve efficiency, and drive measurable business outcomes when appropriate - Apply sound judgment and ethical standards when using AI, ensuring accuracy, data privacy, and responsible human-in-the-loop oversight - Other duties as assigned Qualifications - 6+ years professional experience - Must have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the product - Must have a technical background to be able to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements and detail specifications - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio and writing SQL queries - Experience with QA testing on ERP type applications/systems - A thorough understanding of administrative software for higher education and experience with automated testing tools are a plus - Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language a plus Requirements - The pay range for this position is $66,000-$79,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. - This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits. • Help develop strategy, governance, and operations for SNHU's Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environments, including Copilot Studio adoption, DLP policies, and architecture standards. • Facilitate roadmap development, capacity planning, and project delivery for Modern Workplace Engineering projects. • Be a liaison with partners, department leaders, and peer IT teams, ensuring understanding of projects with institutional priorities. • Lead projects across Modern Workplace Engineering, including cross-functional support for Endpoint Operations (e.g., Application Management, MDM, VDI, and DaaS). • Develop and deliver training, documentation, and communication to promote adoption of modern workplace technologies. • Represent Modern Workplace Engineering in important forums, providing polished and professional communication that strengthens the credibility of ITS. • Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and user experience enhancement across the M365 ecosystem.
