Join our Team About this opportunity: The Network Security Planning and Optimization Specialist will be a key contributor to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our organization's network security architecture. This role focuses on strategic planning and optimizing security controls to protect our digital assets and ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in network security principles, technologies, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating emerging threats. What you will do: - Develop, implement, and maintain the network security architecture roadmap aligned with business objectives and risk appetite. - Design and propose secure network solutions, including segmentation, access controls, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), VPNs, and other security technologies. - Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of existing network security controls. - Perform regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify weaknesses and propose remediation strategies. - Optimize security device configurations for performance, scalability, and security posture. Develop and implement security automation scripts and tools to streamline processes and improve incident response capabilities. The skills you bring: Expertise in Network Security Architecture & Delivery with over a six of experience in the telecommunications industry, including more than 5 years in pivotal customer-facing roles, I am a seasoned professional in designing and delivering robust security solutions. My background includes: - Over 2 years as a dedicated Solution Architect specializing in network security, overseeing the successful delivery of complex projects. - Extensive hands-on experience with a wide array of security technologies and vendors, including but not limited to F5, Palo Alto, Juniper, Fortinet, Cisco ISE, PKI, and DDOS mitigation. - A strong track record in solution delivery and project implementation, from initial design to final deployment. This encompasses deep understanding of hardware, architecture, virtual environments, technologies, protocols, and interfaces. - A degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, providing a strong technical bedrock for advanced security challenges.
