Before you apply, please read through our Cultural Manifesto 👥 ABOUT THE ROLE JOB TITLE: Marketing City Launcher - Austin LOCATION: Remote / Austin, Texas, U.S. (must be based within Austin) TYPE OF CONTRACT: Freelance, 3-6 months contract length SALARY RANGE: $3.500 - $4.500 per month gross What you'll do: - You will be involved in all marketing activities (e.g. events, sampling, finding new partners in Austin, community partnerships, sponsorships, guerrilla & stunts, consumer promotions, etc.) - Organizing and supervising guerrilla activities, such as wild postering, stickering, and other field stunts. - Branded events organization, from location check to leading and managing the events entirely on your own and coordinating staff supporting you, managing deadlines, logistics and relationships with partners, venues and partner communities - Proactive research of new partnerships and sponsorships, as well as supporting in acquiring new brand influencers - Proactive scout for local communities (running, yoga, meet-ups, mindfulness, cycling, hyrox etc.) - Scouting for existing events in target (stand-up comedy nights, music nights, after-work gatherings etc.) - Supporting in acquiring new brand influencers - Depending on the level of autonomy, you will also be responsible for some specific projects within marketing activities (e.g. occasional PR activities, events, partnership projects, sponsorship projects, execution of guerrilla campaigns, local brand promotions etc.) What we’re looking for: - You already have marketing experience and a high drive to succeed in your projects - You are flexible with your time - some events and marketing activations will take part in evenings or on weekends - You are familiar with; events and venues, local communities, millennial hang-out places, and lifestyle trends of millennials in Austin, and the U.S. in general - You have a network of contacts in Austin that you can leverage (potential marketing partners, venues, communities etc.) - You are able to prioritise WeRoad as a client, and put that extra effort into your work to achieve extraordinary - Ability to plan in detail and solve problems on your own - Negotiation skills, applicable to partners, stakeholders and venues managers You will love working at WeRoad if: - You dream big, aim higher, and push yourself beyond limits you didn’t think possible. SUMMARY: The Marketing Associate will support the execution of Placer.ai’s event and partnership marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented marketer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Working closely with the Senior Events & Partnerships Manager, this individual will help coordinate logistics and execution for external events (including trade shows and conferences) as well as partnership-driven campaigns such as webinars and email activations. This role requires strong project management skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to ensuring deliverables are executed on time and at a high standard. The ideal candidate is operationally strong, analytically curious, and can evaluate performance and provide recommendations to optimize future campaigns.
