Friedman Corporation seeks a high energy and customer-service driven Software Implementation Professional Services Consultant. The Professional Services Consultant will be a part Friedman Corporation’s Professional Services Team. The Professional Services Consultant will lead software implementation projects, ensuring smooth solution adoption, and provide expert guidance to deliver an exceptional customer experience. REMOTE WITHIN CANADA What you’ll be doing: - Deliver implementation and training services, both onsite and remotely, including software configuration and user training. - Analyze customers’ operational processes to identify opportunities for improvement and solution alignment. - Lead customers through the full implementation lifecycle from project kickoff and requirement gathering to configuration, training, and go-live. - Collect, document, and validate project requirements to ensure successful solution delivery. - Translate client business needs into process improvements and technical solutions, including complex software configurations and customizations. - Prepare and submit project progress reports in accordance with organizational standards. - Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure high satisfaction, efficient deployment, and effective user adoption. - Collaborate with the sales team during pre-sales activities to identify and understand client requirements. - Develop and manage detailed project plans outlining timelines, dependencies, required resources, and scope. Travel - 20% (average) We are looking for candidates with: Technical skill set - Strong analytical skills (in depth troubleshooting skills) - Communicate technical information to non-technical users - Simultaneously manage various tasks and projects effectively and proactively - Basic database knowledge (mainly Microsoft SQL server and IBM DB2) including the ability to run and build SQL queries - Good basic knowledge of current MS & IBM Power operating systems - Basic networking knowledge is highly recommended - FTP and remote desktop usage experience would be advantageous - Basic hardware knowledge of PC’s, servers and scanner Communication skill set - Ability to document/outline issues and requests in writing including all technical aspects - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to follow through the troubleshooting process from start to finish including clear, frequent and effective communications to customers as well as internal stakeholders Character trait set: - Team player - Upbeat & positive attitude towards coworkers and customers - Strong will to learn and grow - Proactive - Well spoken Industry / Production Experience (advantageous, but not mandatory) - Windows/Fenestration industry background - Cabinetry/Furniture industry background - Production driven environment - ERP/PPS systems (support and ideally configuration) - Knowledge of Frontier or similar ERP systems is a significant advantage. Education & Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science (or similar education) or, alternatively, several years of IT-related and field work on-site experience (mandatory) - Working with DB2 SQL queries (mandatory). - Working within Windows Server environments 2008 and above (advantageous). - Using trouble-ticketing system (advantageous). - Diagnosing and resolving application errors via remote tools such as TeamViewer or similar (advantageous).
