What You Will Do: - Perform subcontract management of purchase orders utilizing integrated supply chain models. Primary capabilities in subcontract management such as the following will be needed: - Preparation of all manner of solicitations including RFQ, RFP, and RFI - Analyze quotations/proposals utilizing price/cost analysis techniques - Develop negotiation strategies and lead formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, Terms) - Place Purchase Orders of high dollar levels and procurement complexity - Perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation plans and solutions to problems - Travel to RTX and supplier facilities as deemed necessary - typical travel may be quarterly or more - Manages escalations and resolution of internal customer and/or supplier issues - Manage financial goals in relation to our subcontract deliveries - Drive the success of meeting business factory MRP - Drive the success for metrics, Late to Place, Late to Dock, Delinquent Material, etc. - Develop plans to promote cost reduction initiatives and performance improvements (technical as well as quality) Qualifications You Must Have: - Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years relevant experience in supply chain management or similar role - Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) or within other heavily regulated industries such as pharmaceutical, medical, space, aviation, power generation or automotive - Experience in written contractual authorization/vehicles (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, etc.) - Experience with supplier management. - The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance.
