Analyst

• Collect, validate, analyze, and integrate information from multiple sources to include qualitative and quantitative primary and secondary data. • Produce client-ready written analytical products that report key findings and conclusions; detailed written analysis with supporting charts, graphs, and visuals; and actionable recommendations that enable private and public sector customers to make informed decisions. • Adhere to and model existing reporting templates to ensure consistency in reporting. • Conduct trend analysis and comparative analysis across time and/or geography. • Understand research design, including sampling and qualitative and quantitative instrumentation such as depth interviews, focus groups, and surveys. • Develop and refine research and analysis methodologies and explore new sources and methods to acquire information in areas of interest. • Conduct systematic secondary research from publicly available sources such as academic databases, news, published books, and journals, and distill key findings. • Proofread and copy edit reporting for inaccuracies, inconsistencies, formatting, grammar, and spelling. • Collaborate with all Research & Analysis team members to exceed client requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5+ years of experience in relevant fields, Master’s degree and 2+ years of experience, or 10+ years of relevant analytical experience, in intelligence analysis, international affairs, security studies, political risk, or a related field.
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills to include the ability to distill key findings.
  • Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively operate independently and as a member of an analytical team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, basic computer applications, modern collaborative communication tools.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, shifting requirements, and tight deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Department of Defense (DoD), Department of State (DoS), US Agency for International Development (USAID) and other United States government work.
  • Interest in international relations, U.S. national security, or similar.
  • Ability to work in a remote-work environment.
  • Statistics background to include R and/or SPSS (desired qualification).
  • Data visualization experience (desired qualification).
  • Working knowledge of geospatial tools (desired qualification).
