Overview DecisionPoint seeks a DevSecOps Engineer – Journeyman (Survivor Portal) to support the sustainment, monitoring, and automation of a secure, cloud-based application serving survivors and family members of fallen service members. The DevSecOps Engineer will provide Tier 3 technical support and implement infrastructure automation, monitoring, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure secure and reliable delivery across multiple cloud environments. The engineer will collaborate with development, cybersecurity, and operations teams to maintain high system availability, integrate automated testing, and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and RMF requirements. Duties & Responsibilities The DevSecOps Engineer – Journeyman (Survivor Portal) will: - Provide Tier 3 operational and troubleshooting support for production, test, and development environments. - Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines, integrating automated builds, testing, and security scans into deployment workflows. - Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation for secure and scalable provisioning within AWS GovCloud IL4/IL5 environments. - Manage containerized deployments and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring consistent configuration and performance across environments. - Monitor system performance, application health, and security posture using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus. - Support incident response and root cause analysis, ensuring timely resolution of operational issues. - Apply patches, updates, and vulnerability mitigations in alignment with DoD cybersecurity and RMF standards. - Collaborate with software developers to integrate DevSecOps automation into Agile sprint cycles. - Ensure compliance with DISA STIGs, DoD IA controls, and Zero Trust security principles. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and configuration baselines for system sustainment. - Support data backup and recovery processes, and validate operational continuity plans. Qualifications Clearance Requirement: - Must hold an active Secret clearance. Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field. Experience: - Minimum 5 years of experience in DevSecOps, system administration, or cloud infrastructure engineering. - Experience supporting secure, cloud-based applications in federal or defense environments. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize CI/CD and containerized systems. Technical Knowledge: - Proficiency in AWS GovCloud, Linux, and containerized deployments. - Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline). - Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible). - Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and automated build pipelines. - Understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF, and DISA STIG implementation. - Experience with system monitoring, log aggregation, and performance tuning.
