Incubator Lab

VIDEO EDITOR (Youtube Focused) Company: IncubatorLab.ai Location: Remote (LATAM) Type: Full-Time or Long-Term Contract ABOUT INCUBATORLAB.AI IncubatorLab.ai is a performance-driven growth company that builds and scales direct-to-consumer brands through high-velocity creative testing, disciplined execution, and increasingly AI-enabled workflows. We operate as an internal growth engine—not an agency—focused on identifying and scaling the creative ideas that drive measurable results. Role Objective You will edit short-form YouTube ads and Shorts designed to drive performance and conversions. This role is for editors who prioritize results over "cinematic flair," focusing on high-retention editing that stops the scroll. Key Responsibilities for YouTube - Performance-Driven Editing: Create short-form video ads tailored for YouTube's ecosystem. - Retention Tactics: Use "pattern interrupts" like zooms, captions, and sound design to keep viewers engaged. - Hook Mastery: Focus heavily on the first 3 seconds to create aggressive, scroll-stopping hooks. - Iterative Design: Edit multiple versions of the same content to test different hooks or visual styles. - Quality Control: Maintain high-volume output while ensuring pacing, color, and audio are top-tier. Technical Requirements - Experience: 2+ years editing short-form social video (YouTube Shorts/Ads preferred). - Software: Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. - Motion Graphics: Working knowledge of After Effects for captions and visual effects. - Creative Fundamentals: Expert-level understanding of pacing, audio mixing, and music selection. Work Environment & Logistics - Remote/Global: This is a worldwide, remote position. - Async-First: Work whenever you want, provided deadlines are met. - Communication: Requires a few hours of overlap with US-based EST hours for team Slack and meetings - Structure: IncubatorLab operates as an internal growth engine, not a traditional agency. How to Apply (Portfolio Guide) To be considered, your portfolio or reel must specifically showcase Direct Response or UGC-style ads. Do NOT send: - Long-form documentaries. - Wedding films or cinematic shorts. DO send: - The First 3 Seconds: Examples of your best hooks. - UGC Integration: Proof you can make raw phone footage look like a high-converting ad. - Pacing: Ads that demonstrate high engagement through editing. Bonus: A link to a YouTube Short or Reel that went viral.
