Join our Team The EHS Manager (Expertise) is responsible for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving Ericsson's Environmental, Health, Safety, and Well-Being (EHS) policies, programs, and requirements across Mexico and assigned countries in Latin America south. This role acts as a strategic EHS expert and trusted advisor, strengthening Ericsson's EHS Management System, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving a sustainable safety culture and employee well-being aligned with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and Ericsson's Target Zero ambition. Operating across diverse regulatory and cultural environments, the EHS Manager enables consistent EHS governance, data-driven decision-making, and continual improvement, ensuring employees can thrive, perform at their best, and return home safe and well every day. Responsibilities & Outcomes - Establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve Ericsson's EHS policies, programs, standards, and requirements across multiple Latin American countries. - Proactively identify EHS risks and opportunities, translating insights into strategic improvements that strengthen prevention, compliance, and organizational resilience. - Provide expert guidance on environmental aspects and impacts, high-hazard work, OHS maturity assessments, and pre-job EHS reviews to ensure risks are controlled before work begins. - Monitor and interpret EHS legislation across assigned Latin American countries, supporting compliance and timely integration into Ericsson policies and practices. - Leverage leading and lagging indicators, metrics, and trend analysis to enable risk-based decision-making and continuous improvement of EHS performance and culture. - Support Ericsson's EHS leadership by solving complex issues - Responsible for EHS legislation fulfillment & monitoring. - Represents EHS internally and externally - Contribute to EHS reporting, audits, assessments, well-being initiatives, and leadership decision-making, while acting as a resource for competence development across the organization. - Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required to support EHS business operations Qualifications (Required) - Bachelor's degree and/or formally recognized qualification in Environmental Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline. - Recognized professional EHS qualification, such as: - NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health - Post-Graduate Degree or MSc in Environmental and/or OHS Management - Equivalent internationally recognized certification - Minimum 6 years of experience within Environmental, Health, Safety, and Well-Being roles. - Strong conceptual and practical knowledge of EHS legislation, risk management, and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001. ISO internal or external auditor certifications are considered valuable. - Strong knowledge of fall protection and safe driving in high-risk environments. IRATA, SPRAT, and GWO certifications are considered a strong asset. Valuable Experience - Experience establishing or improving adapting or customizing EHS policies, programs, or management systems within a multinational organization. - Experience supporting EHS compliance across multiple countries or regions, preferably within Latin America. - Proven ability to influence EHS outcomes across matrixed, cross-cultural environments without direct authority. - Experience working in dynamic, agile, and evolving organizations. - Participation in internal or external audits and EHS maturity assessments. - Relevant experience managing temporary EHS services within LATAM countries.
