Opportunity Overview: We are looking for innovative and creative individuals who seize opportunities to uncover hidden drivers, impacts, and key influences to support our product, leadership and clinical teams by applying optimization and statistical methods on a variety of data. You will work closely with the clinical program and product teams to support decision-making and will dig into a wide range of strategic and clinical problems. You will be part of a growing data science team within the technology organization. What you’ll do: - Drive strategic data science initiatives that directly impact our product roadmap and business outcomes while working as part of a cross-functional team. - Take ownership of data science milestones, requirements gathering and identify risks and opportunities with various data sources. - Independently lead in-depth analyses of a variety of healthcare and product data sources to enable data-driven decision-making driving business impact and ROI. - Mentor junior data scientists in development and statistical best practices, conduct code reviews, and communication with non-technical audiences. - Present information using data visualization techniques and propose solutions and strategies to business challenges - Design and conduct causal inference analyses using healthcare claims, EHR and similar data. - Leverage a variety of cutting-edge technologies, including LLM and stochastic optimization, to support faster and better decision making What you’ll need: - 5+ years hands-on data science experience at company where health outcomes were critical to the mission, preferably a healthcare analytics company or population health organization - Demonstrated leadership experience in healthcare data science with a track record of influencing product strategy and business outcomes - Strong communication skills with the unique ability to translate business needs from stakeholders into data science technical requirements and translate data science results back to business and clinical units. - Proficient in current modeling approaches, standard scientific methods for intervention based analysis, trend identification, causal inference, and pattern detection - Strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, utilizing a variety of analytic tools, building and implementing models, creating algorithms and running simulations - Experience with graph database managing clinical concepts is a big plus - Experience in prompt engineering and context optimization with LLM - Experience with programming languages (Python,PySpark, Scala and/or Spark SQL) - Strong interest and understanding of EMR data, Claims and SDOH data - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Kibana, preferred - MSc or higher degree in a data science/ analytics, statistics, mathematics, engineering related field Pay & Perks: 💻 Fully remote opportunity with about 5% travel 🩺 Medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and Employee Assistance Program 📈 401K retirement plan with company match; flexible spending and health savings account 🏝️ Flexible Time Off + Company Holidays 👶 Up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave 🐶 Pet insurance The salary range for this position is $125,000 to $155,000 annually; as part of a total benefits package which includes health insurance, 401k and bonus.
