Job Description

Technical Accounting Manager

Serve Robotics

• Research, analyze, and formally document complex technical accounting matters under U.S. GAAP through comprehensive position memoranda and cross-functional collaboration • Lead the end-to-end accounting for equity and stock-based compensation, including technical analysis, documentation, and financial reporting • Support the preparation of recurring technical accounting analyses for the global organization • Assist the Finance team in developing and maintaining formal accounting policy documentation • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings • Support coordination with the external audit team during quarterly reviews and annual audits • Serve as a strategic cross-functional partner to FP&A, Legal, Operations, and Executive Leadership • Manage multiple concurrent reporting and technical accounting workstreams

Job Requirements

  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a mix of Big 4/public accounting and industry preferred
  • Hands-on experience working at or supporting a public company
  • Advanced accounting research and interpretive skills, with the ability to draft comprehensive, defensible technical accounting memoranda
  • Experience with the application of ASC 718 equity accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, and ASC 842 lease accounting
  • Ability to operate in a SOX-compliant environment, including documentation and control testing support

Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Assistant is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Responsibilities & Competencies: - Process weekly accounts payable checks: verify transaction information; schedule and prepare disbursements; obtain authorization of payment. - Process employee expense reports by reviewing expense report information and preparing register for printing checks or processing electronic payment. - Apply member payments to accounts. - Maintain accounts payable files and records (vendor files, invoices, 1099s, etc.). - Maintain accounts receivable files and records (EFT files and paperwork, lockbox, etc.). - Prepare monthly member billing and mail statements. - Assist in 1099 annual process. - Research and resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancies. - Maintain and update spreadsheets related to accounts payable and accounts receivable. - Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures. - Respond to informational requests. - Provide interdepartmental support to accomplish cross-functional goals. - Comply with applicable federal and state laws, administrative rules, established organizational procedures, and accepted professional standards. - Maintain the confidentiality of client information and protected health information as required by State and Federal regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) Act of 1996.
