As a Senior Actuarial Analyst on our high performance Actuarial Pricing team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping pricing strategies for UnitedHealthcare's Large Group Stop Loss products. Primary Responsibilities: - Analyze and interpret quantitative data to develop and review monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc exhibits using detailed data sets - Extract and compile group specific utilization data to support pricing analysis. Required Qualifications: - Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline - Actively progressing on the actuarial exam track, having passed at least two SOA actuarial exams - 2+ years of actuarial experience (collecting, analyzing, and summarizing qualitative and quantitative data) - Beginner or higher level of proficiency with SQL, SAS, and/or VBA - Advanced or higher level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, and data manipulation) Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in the healthcare industry - Experience with data visualization, ie. • Providing technical customer service to external and internal customers for Deluxe software. • Utilizing internal processes and tools to log, track, update and complete work items initiated by customers. • Working independently using comprehensive product knowledge and acting as a go-to resource for peers. • Taking tickets from the application group queue focusing on complex client software issues. • Handling cases for software hot fix updates for in-house clients. • Engaging in client escalations as a case resource. • Follows Escalation procedures to ensure progress communication includes peers and management. • Using sound judgment to plan, prioritize and schedule efforts for escalated case work. • Documenting customer interactions, actions taken, current status and next steps throughout the support ticket lifecycle.
