This role is a core part of the Engineering leadership team, ensuring tight integration between engineering execution, product development, and business strategy. This role is accountable for defining how Technical Project Management, as part of Engineering, shapes portfolio decisions, drives company priorities, and delivers best-in-class products to market. The Senior Director operates at the intersection of strategy and execution owning the "what" and "when" at an enterprise level, while ensuring teams deliver the "how" with excellence. What You'll Do - Lead and develop a high-performing global Technical Project Management organization within Engineering, building leadership capability, succession plans, and a strong talent pipeline. - Check Eng NPD portfolio strategy across multiple product categories, align to company priorities, growth targets, and innovation goals. - Partner with executive leadership to define product direction, investment trade-offs, and prioritization across the portfolio. - Establish and evolve the operating model for Technical Project Management, driving transformation in how work is planned, executed, and delivered across the organization. - Partner with senior leaders across Engineering, Design, Product Development, and Operations to ensure alignment on product direction, priorities, and timelines. - Establish and enforce project governance, prioritization frameworks, and decision-making processes. - Provide clear visibility into project status, risks, and tradeoffs to executive leadership. - Act as a key decision-maker in complex, ambiguous scenarios-balancing speed, risk, and quality to enable the business to move forward effectively. - Influence and shape cross-functional strategy across Engineering, Design, and Operations, ensuring alignment to long-term business goals. - Build and scale systems, tools, and governance frameworks that enable transparency, accountability, and high-velocity execution. Role & Responsibilities - Define and evolve the vision, strategy, and operating model for the Technical Project Management function as an integral part of Engineering. - Own the end-to-end NPD portfolio across categories, with accountability for business outcomes-not just project delivery. - Drive alignment between product strategy, engineering execution, and commercial objectives. - Establish clear prioritization frameworks that guide decision-making across teams and leadership. - Ensure teams are focused on the highest-impact work, balancing innovation, risk, and execution speed. - Drive accountability across teams for milestones, deliverables, and outcomes at a portfolio level. - Champion continuous improvement and transformation of processes to enhance scalability, predictability, and speed. - Represent Technical Project Management in executive discussions, influencing company direction and strategic decisions. Experience & Skills - Engineering background required - 12-15+ years of experience in technical project management, engineering, or related roles - Proven experience owning and driving large-scale, cross-functional portfolios from concept to launch - Experience leading and scaling global project management organizations - Strong understanding of product development lifecycle (NPD) - Experience working in consumer products, hardware, or manufacturing environments preferred - Demonstrated experience influencing executive leadership and driving business decisions - Strong knowledge of project management tools (e.g., JIRA) and reporting frameworks - Understanding of manufacturing processes and constraints Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is displayed below.
