Role Description Onix is seeking a passionate, engaging, and motivated individual to fill a remote position in the role of Google Workspace Deployment Engineer. This person will provide enterprise-level services in deploying and consulting on Google Workspace as well as other 3rd party vendors Onix partners with. The Onix Google Workspace Delivery Team is an industry leader in deployments, consulting, and product knowledge. The team provides decades of expertise and advises diverse clients on best practices to supplement their business transformation onto cloud services. As part of a team in this rapidly growing enterprise, you will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies and help shape the future of how clients operate and transform. Primary Responsibilities - Perform technical Google Workspace deployment services using the Onix & Google methodology. - Pass and maintain Google Certified Workspace Administrator and Chrome Management Credentials during employment to become credentialed per Google requirements for Onix as a Premium Partner. - Work with other teams within Onix to provide world-class deployment services. Teams include, but are not limited to, Change Management and Project Management. - Organize and conduct administrator training for customer engagements. - Development of new or updated deployment materials, scripts, and tools. - Take responsibility for technical aspects of solutions to include such activities as product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources. - Work hands-on with Google Workspace and other cloud partner products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer/partner environments. - Build good relationships and work closely with Onix Sales, Google Sales and Systems Engineers, and Onix Partners to ensure a cohesive message during deployments. - Collaborate with customers to develop proactive, strategic technical solutions as it pertains to the Google Workspace platform including, but not limited to, identifying key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers. - Research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to resolve client issues. - Help create and maintain relevant Technical Support documentation. - Maintain working technical knowledge of each supported product. Qualifications - Certified: Google Professional Certified Workspace Administrator. - At least 3 years of Google Workspace Technical Deployment experience or 5 years of being an Enterprise Google Workspace Administrator. - Experience Google Workspace Migrate for an Enterprise level customer. - Experience with CloudM Migrate, BitTitan and other 3rd party tools at the Enterprise level. - Experience with Google to Google migrations and Domain Transfer Tool (DTT). - Experience with 3rd party storage solutions (Box, Dropbox, Sharepoint, etc). - Experience in developing solutions to complex scenarios, issues, and deliver successful results. - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). - Creative problem-solving skills and a drive to solve difficult issues. - Capability to deliver on-time, well-executed work that leads to consistent client satisfaction. - Ability to expertly convey ideas and concepts to others. - Experience working remotely from a home office. - Experience with Google APIs. - Experience with a programming language (Python, Java, etc). - Experience deploying Context Aware Access (CAA). - Understanding of networking concepts and email routing. - Experience with Chrome, Android, and/or iOS devices. - Knowledge of enterprise messaging platforms (e.g. Microsoft Exchange), LDAP services (e.g. Active Directory) and/or Windows Group Policy Objects (GPOs). - Familiarity with 3rd party Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions. - Experience with LumApps, Happeo, AODocs a plus. - Experience creating and managing technical project plans. - Experience with security best-practices and industry standards as it pertains to Google Workspace, including but not limited to, data loss prevention and government regulated requirements (i.e. HIPAA). Education - Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred, but not required. Travel Expectation - 0-20% Domestic. - 0-10% International.
