The Resource Allocation Lead is responsible for the enterprise resource allocation framework for Clinical Affairs—designing, implementing, and scaling the processes, tools, and governance needed to deploy clinical resources effectively across a dynamic, global portfolio. This position reports to the Manager, Clinical Portfolio and is part of the Danaher Diagnostic organization and will be fully remote. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Design and implement a scalable portfolio management solution that supports global clinical program execution and resource allocation across the centralized Clinical Affairs organization, replacing multiple existing systems across Clinical Affairs. - Develop onboarding and training materials to drive consistent adoption of the portfolio management solution, specifically the resource planning processes and tools. - Build and maintain reporting dashboards that provide visibility into resource utilization, capacity forecasting, and operational performance. - Collaborate with CCOE partners to enable integrated planning and alignment with business priorities. - Lead continuous improvement efforts using Lean/DBS methodologies to mature and evolve resource management practices. The essential requirements of the job include: - Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field - 5+ years of experience in clinical research/operations, portfolio operations, or resource management within life sciences or diagnostics - 3+ years of direct experience in resource planning or portfolio management, including standardizing tools, processes, and reporting - Strong analytical skills; proficiency with Excel, a resource/portfolio platform (e.g., Fusion Online, Epicflow), and BI tool (e.g., Power BI) - Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills within matrixed, global organization and a working knowledge of clinical trial processes, GCP, and regulatory expectations (FDA, EMA) Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: - Ability to travel – 15% travel, as needed for events and workshops - Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - Working understanding of Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) and its application to resource constrained environments - PMP, PMI ACP, or Prosci change management certification - Experience applying advanced analytics or AI-driven approaches to resource planning, forecasting, or portfolio optimization. The annual salary range for this role is $135k-$145k. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
