Role Description The Director, GTM Engineering, is a leadership position within UKG’s Digital group, reporting to the Vice President of GTM Product Experience. The role is pivotal in transforming the enterprise systems landscape by leveraging cutting-edge technologies to accelerate value delivery and improve efficiencies. A strong emphasis is placed on strategic thinking, technical expertise, and collaborative problem-solving with stakeholders and product teams. Experience with Salesforce implementations is mandatory for candidates. Qualifications - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven presentation abilities. - Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and programming skills in complex technical environments. - Minimum of 15 years in enterprise-level software development, including at least 10 years managing high-energy software teams. - Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience. - At least 3+ years in a director-level role. - Demonstrated high intellect, integrity, and positive leadership energy. - Extensive experience in software engineering for complex, scalable products across multiple technologies and platforms. - Proficiency with Agile development methodologies. - Proven success with Salesforce implementations, including Salesforce Einstein and Agentforce. - Desired experience in product integrations and API technologies. - Ability to attract and develop top talent, motivate high-performing teams, and manage change effectively. - This comprehensive role requires a blend of technical depth, strategic leadership, and a passion for innovation to drive UKG’s GTM product experience forward in a competitive enterprise environment. • Own technical planning and delivery across product initiatives (scope, sequence, tradeoffs, timelines) • Triage, prioritize, and resolve incoming technical issues with a calm, structured approach • Partner with product/design to shape solutions that are maintainable and measurable • Lead the buildout of new product initiatives (including standalone feature areas with backend + analytics) • Maintain and extend cloud infrastructure (AWS), including reliability, cost awareness, and performance • Manage and improve deployment pipelines and workflows using GitHub (PR hygiene, environments, releases) • Set sensible engineering standards (logging, monitoring, testing expectations, documentation) • Improve analytics instrumentation • Support and unblock other teams with clear technical communication (without becoming a helpdesk)
