QA Automation Engineer
Proofpoint
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Python under guidance from senior team members • Contribute to test cases for APIs, AI providers, backend services, and end-to-end scenarios • Help integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines • Assist in maintaining and improving existing test frameworks • Execute manual and automated test cases to validate new features and bug fixes • Identify, document, and track bugs clearly and effectively • Participate in code reviews and testing discussions • Learn and apply best practices in software quality and testing • Support initiatives to expand test coverage using AI tools • Help experiment with AI-based test generation and analysis tools • Learn how AI can be used to identify gaps in test coverage and improve efficiency • Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members • Actively learn new tools, technologies, and testing methodologies • Ask questions, seek feedback, and continuously improve your skills
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic knowledge of Python programming
- Understanding of software testing concepts (manual or automated)
- Familiarity with version control (Git)
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in QA automation
- Exposure to testing tools like PyTest, Selenium, or Playwright (Nice to Have)
- Basic understanding of APIs (REST) and how to test them (Nice to Have)
- Basic Linux experience (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts (Nice to Have)
- Interest in AI/ML or curiosity about how AI can be applied to testing (Nice to Have)
