Job Requirements
- Master’s degree or above in Life Sciences, Immunology, Cell Biology, or related fields
- 5–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the life sciences or biopharma industry
- Strong experience in cell therapy or related fields
- Deep familiarity with the US biotech landscape and core facility ecosystem
- Proven track record of building and leveraging industry networks to drive business outcomes
- Solid understanding of end-to-end cell therapy workflows
- Ability to understand customer processes and translate technical requirements into business opportunities
- Experience interacting with process development, manufacturing, and translational teams
- Experience with cell therapy manufacturing-related products, reagents, or tools is highly desirable
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

The Upstream Field Application Specialist (m/w/d) at Cytiva is responsible for delivering advanced post-installation, hands-on training and consulting to customers. This role is part of the Bioprocess Customer Application Support team based in Europe, supporting customers across EMEA, and is a remote position. What you will do: - Support the sales process by advising during sales discussions, delivering presentations, and performing hands-on cell culture demonstrations for Cytiva’s upstream product portfolio, including Xcellerex™ XDR and X-platform, WAVE™ bioreactor systems, and the ReadyToProcess™ (RTP) platform. - Deliver advanced post-installation training and consulting to customers, providing high-level application support for bioreactor users. This includes process optimization, process transfer to Cytiva’s single-use bioreactors, and expert technical support such as troubleshooting and extended on-site, process-connected problem solving. - Provide input to Marketing, R&D, and Management, with a strong focus on customer feedback, market insights, and competitor practices.
