Role Description The BIM / VDC Engineer IV is a lead, project-based role within the building automation contractor team, supporting long-duration construction projects in critical infrastructure environments. This position is responsible for leading BIM and VDC activities for the company’s scope of work, including BAS and EPMS system panels, field devices, conduit, and raceway systems. This role is remote but requires some onsite coordination, working closely with field teams, project management, trade partners, and external design teams to maintain accurate, constructible models throughout the construction lifecycle. The BIM / VDC Engineer IV leads coordination efforts, drives issue resolution, supports field execution with real-time model updates, and helps ensure model accuracy from design through as-built turnover. The ideal candidate combines strong technical BIM/VDC capability with field awareness, coordination leadership, and a proactive mindset for solving construction challenges quickly and effectively. This individual embraces innovation and applies new tools and technology to improve project delivery, communication, and model-based decision-making.
