Department OverviewMobile Video Hardware Engineering is chartered to design body worn camera Job Description - Perform dsign and development activities of highly sophisticated surveillance cameras for professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments. - Utilize Modeling & Simulation Software to create and evaluate designs, including Digital Signal Integrity simulation in Altium and schematic capture, prior to releasing the PCB layout Gerber for fabrication. - Creation and maintenance of product bill of materials. - Testing and troubleshooting of prototype electronic circuit boards - Construction of prototypes or proof of concepts for purposes of testing circuit designs as needed, using workbench tools and test equipment. - Testing and mitigation of compliance issues. Basic Requirements - At least a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering - At least 5 years or more of relevant product design experience - Familiarity with schematic capture and circuit simulation - Strong understanding of SoC/DSP design incorporating DDR, flash, high speed sensor and Ethernet interfaces - Strong knowledge of isolated, PoE and PoE+ power supply design - Extensive knowledge of EMC and safety standards and design requirements to ensure that the products meet these standards - Ability to critically assess and optimize the cost and performance of designs - Hands-on testing and troubleshooting experience - Strong organizational and documentation skills - Self-motivated, with the ability to learn quickly and independently, and work within a team. - Candidate must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
