Valere Commercial’s core focus is on business purpose loans, including but not limited to the following products: investor bridge, fix-and-flip, ground-up construction (1-4 family and multi-family), multi-family term, cross-collateralized, and builder finance. Position Overview: The BPL Closer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of loan documents in accordance with current regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and procedural standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of the mortgage closing process by confirming that documentation aligns with loan-level metrics and meets applicable requirements. The BPL Closer applies effective prioritization, collaboration, and time management skills to support closing operations and cross-functional coordination. Job Responsibilities: - Remain up to date on product-specific guidelines and updates. - Maintain accurate records of projected loan closings. - Coordinate and schedule loan closing and funding activities. - Prepare and distribute loan documents in accordance with established timelines. - Collect and verify all closing loan documents, ensuring all pre-funding conditions are met Review funding packages for disbursement authorization. - Prepare and reconcile closing statements for electronic transfer of loan funds. - Review Title Commitments and Purchase Contracts for accuracy and compliance. - Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients. - Meet or exceed production targets set by Valere. - Deliver consistent and professional customer service. - Collaborate with teams to support a cohesive and efficient closing process. - Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field, preferred. - 7+ years of experience in loan closing or a comparable role within the mortgage or financial services industry, including experience providing excellent customer service. - Excellent in adapting to changing closing procedures, applying precise documentation skills, and leveraging product knowledge to finalize transactions efficiently. - Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and completeness of work outputs. - Advanced prioritization, organizational, and time management skills. - Skilled in collaboration to support effective cross-functional coordination. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
