Job Description

Solutions Architect, Developer Advocacy

Boomi

About Boomi and What Makes Us Special Are you ready to work at a fast-growing company where you can make a difference? Boomi aims to make the world a better place by connecting everyone to everything, anywhere. Our award-winning, intelligent integration and automation platform helps organizations power the future of business. At Boomi, you’ll work with world-class people and industry-leading technology. We hire trailblazers with an entrepreneurial spirit who can solve challenging problems, make a real impact, and want to be part of building something big. If this sounds like a good fit for you, check out boomi.com or visit our Boomi Careers page to learn more. How You’ll Make An Impact This role sits at the heart of three inaugural developer platform offerings: the Agentic Engineering Harness, the Boomi Embedded SDK, and the Open Source Connector Library. You will bridge the technical depth of the engineering team with the Solution Consultants, Professional Services teams, and global partner organizations who need to understand, demonstrate, and deliver these products with confidence. You will build the labs, implementation guides, and reference content that turn what the engineering team ships into what the field can use — and you will be the credible technical voice for this portfolio externally, at developer events and across developer.boomi.com and the Boomi Developer Blog. This is a first-of-its-kind role at Boomi. The person who fills it will define what field-facing developer advocacy looks like for this portfolio — and help shape the AI-native developer future it is being built to support. What You’ll Do - Own the global field enablement program for Boomi’s Developer Offerings portfolio — build and deliver the demos, hands-on labs, and implementation guides that equip Solution Consultants, Professional Services teams, and partner organizations worldwide to position and deliver the Agentic Engineering Harness, Boomi Embedded SDK, and Open Source Connector Library with confidence at launch and as the portfolio grows - Build, develop, and validate production-quality technical content and code at engineering standards — including skills, plugins, reference implementations, and quickstart guides that function as real, deployable artifacts; actively contribute code and development work to Boomi’s developer offerings while publishing technical content directly to the Boomi Developer Portal (developer.boomi.com) and the Boomi Developer Blog - Serve as the primary technical bridge between the engineering team and the commercial field: translate what ships into what the field can use, and close the feedback loop back to the Product Manager and engineering on gaps, friction points, and opportunities - Enable Boomi’s partner and systems integrator ecosystem — resellers, implementation partners, and independent consultants — with the same depth as internal field teams; surface Boomi’s developer offerings to the audiences who will build most with them - Represent Boomi at developer-facing conferences and events as a credible technical voice for the Developer Offerings portfolio; co-own the community support model alongside the engineering team through GitHub issue engagement, governance documentation, and self-service resources that bring the barrier to adoption as close to zero as possible - Partner with the Product Manager, Developer Offerings to stay aligned on capability expansion across all three products — ensuring the field and partner ecosystem are never behind what has shipped The Experience You Bring - 5+ years in a customer-facing or field-facing technical role — Solutions Architect, Technical Sales Engineer, Developer Advocate, or equivalent — at an integration, middleware, or enterprise software company - Deep, practical experience building on the Boomi platform; fluency with Boomi connectors, process design, B2B/EDI patterns, and integration architecture - Genuine developer empathy — you have written enough production-quality code to understand what it means to be blocked, and you design enablement content with that friction in mind - A proven track record of enabling technical field audiences — Solution Consultants, Professional Services, or partner organizations — through programs and materials that drive measurable, real-world adoption - Technical content you’ve produced that developers actually use: implementation guides, quickstart labs, cookbooks, reference implementations, or README documentation with demonstrable reach - Public-facing technical credibility: conference talks, live demos, published blog posts, or recorded technical content with a real audience - Proficiency with modern developer workflows: version control (Git/GitHub), AI coding assistants, command-line tooling, and documentation-as-code practices Bonus Points If You Have - Experience in a developer relations, developer advocacy, or developer evangelism function at a platform, API, or developer tooling company - Hands-on familiarity with agentic AI engineering workflows and tools — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Boomi AgentStudio, or similar AI-assisted development environments - Background in open source product strategy: community contribution models, governance frameworks, and developer adoption - Experience with integration platforms (iPaaS), middleware, embedded SDKs, or white-label platform capabilities - Experience designing structured technical artifacts — APIs, skills, tool definitions, or MCP-compatible specifications — intended for programmatic or agent-driven execution - Video content creation or live coding demonstration experience - Understanding of credential management and security best practices in AI-assisted developer workflows Aren’t sure if you’re a match? We know that impostor syndrome and the confidence gap can prevent us from meeting spectacular candidates — so don’t hesitate to apply; you could be the perfect fit! Compensation and Benefits Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Base compensation for this position in our corporate headquarters in Conshohocken, PA ranges from $144,756 - 180,945. This position is remote-friendly and, as such, final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. An overview of our benefits can be found here. Be Bold. Be You. Be Boomi. We take pride in our culture and core values and are committed to being a place where everyone can be their true, authentic self. Our team members are our most valuable resources, and we look for and encourage diversity in backgrounds, thoughts, life experiences, knowledge, and capabilities.
