Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester

Role Description GovCIO is seeking a QA Engineer. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team and have demonstrated experience with manual testing in a federal government client environment. This customer-facing role will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction. This position will be fully remote in the United States. - Develop, publish, and implement test plans for complex, multi-tier, distributed applications throughout the full lifecycle. - Develop manual or automated testing systems using commercial tools, scripts, and data sets. - Participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, load, and system testing. - Assure the appropriate level of quality by resolving important defects by working with developers and/or engineers. - Develop response strategies and processes for high-criticality and security vulnerability related bug notifications. - Pro-actively investigate and find potential security holes and attack vectors within both the existing and newly developed code base. - Work in Agile/Scrum methodologies with cross-functional teams. - Communicate effectively with federal clients, developers, and program managers. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related field or commensurate experience. - 8+ years of experience. - 4 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education. - Experience with Jira, X-ray, AWS. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, specifically Kanban. Requirements - Must be able to obtain a DHS Public Trust. - US Citizenship is required. Preferred Skills and Experience - Experience in AWS. Posted Salary Range USD $110,000.00 - USD $123,000.00 /Yr.
