The role: SailPoint is seeking an Advisory Solution Consultant, Technical Specialist to provide deep technical pre-sales support to our Americas Solutions Engineering team. You will be the technical expert during the evaluation phase of an opportunity. With a deep identity management background and a passion for problem-solving, you will lead prospects through successful Proof-of-Concept (POC) evaluations, architecting and building solutions that differentiate SailPoint from the competition. Responsibilities: - Manage the proof-of-concept (POC) process from end-to-end for complex opportunities. - Partner with field sales teams to discover and understand customer requirements, defining the use cases needed to support their technical and business needs. - Map and articulate these use cases back to the prospect as strategic business outcomes. - Demonstrate how the SailPoint platform will achieve their goals through tailored demonstrations and hands-on POCs. - Develop custom code and build integrations to common enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, ServiceNow, AWS, Azure) to achieve a successful evaluation outcome. - Coach and guide customers towards identity security best practices. - Create and deliver technical enablement, custom assets, and reusable solutions for the broader Solutions Engineering organization. Requirements: - 5-7+ years of professional experience as a hands-on technical resource in an enterprise software company. - 5+ years of deep experience in the Identity Management/Governance space. Previous expertise in implementing or customizing the SailPoint platform is a significant plus. - Strong, demonstrable skill in integrating with one or more of the following: SAP, ServiceNow, Oracle, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and major HR systems (e.g., Workday). - Strong proficiency with Java and web application development (XML, REST, SCIM). - A working knowledge of Beanshell, application servers (e.g., Tomcat), databases (SQL), LDAP, and Active Directory is highly desired. - Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical projects. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and business audiences. Path to Success: Within the first 4 months you will: - Master the technical intricacies of the SailPoint portfolio. - Learn the established processes and best practices for running successful POCs. - Partner with senior team members on active customer evaluations. - Build relationships with your counterparts in the field SE, Product Management, and Professional Services organizations. - Begin contributing to the team's library of custom assets and solutions. Within 6 months to 1 year, you will: - Independently lead and manage multiple complex POCs simultaneously. - Be recognized as a subject matter expert in several key integration areas. - Actively mentor and coach other Solution Engineers, helping to develop their technical skills. - Develop, document, and promote new custom solutions for organization-wide use. - Provide critical field feedback to Product Management to influence the future direction of the SailPoint platform. Location: - This is a remote position open to all candidates residing in the United States or Canada. As the position is based in the US, candidates must be able to travel across the US from time to time. - We anticipate up to 25% travel and flexibility to travel as needed for customer POCs and internal events. Education: - Preferred, not required: BA/BS or global equivalent in a technical field. - 8+ years of related experience is highly valued. We estimate the base salary, for US-based employees, will be in this range from (min-mid-max, USD): $116,900 - $197,083.60Base salaries for employees based in other locations are competitive for the employee’s home location.
