• CI/CD Platform Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across platforms including Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps. • Pipeline Framework & Library Development: Develop and maintain shared pipeline libraries and reusable automation modules. • Kubernetes & Container Platform Integration: Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows that deploy containerized applications to Kubernetes platforms. • Data DevOps & Database Pipeline Automation: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines supporting database and data platform deployments. • Cloud & Platform Automation: Implement CI/CD workflows for deploying applications to cloud environments. • Developer & Data Team Enablement: Collaborate with development and data engineering teams to design effective CI/CD and data pipeline workflows. • Observability & Operational Excellence: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting for CI/CD systems and pipeline workflows.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent CI/CD platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience developing shared pipeline libraries, reusable pipeline templates, or CI/CD automation frameworks.
  • Experience building or maintaining Jenkins Shared Libraries, GitLab CI templates, or equivalent reusable pipeline frameworks.
  • Experience working with container technologies and Kubernetes-based platforms.
  • Experience supporting deployments to Kubernetes, OpenShift, or equivalent container orchestration platforms.
  • Experience implementing DevOps automation supporting data platforms and database deployment pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience working with technologies such as Liquibase, Redgate, Databricks, SQL Server, or equivalent data platform technologies.
  • Experience writing and troubleshooting SQL queries used within automated deployment or data processing workflows.
  • Strong scripting or programming experience in languages such as Groovy, Python, Bash, or equivalent automation languages.
  • Experience working with artifact repositories and container registries.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for build systems and CI/CD environments.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills working with development and data engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will deliver Level 2/3 support while prioritizing tasks and overseeing daily logging operations within a global team. This individual is anticipated to assist with the operational components of the SYF Splunk Cloud stack, develop new automation solutions, maintain both the on-premises Splunk Infra and the 11000+ Splunk Universal Forwarders at an N-1 level and offer any necessary support to customers or senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: - First line of communication for any outages or incidents to the manager usually via Teams or phone call. - Planning and automation around all upgrades (this sometimes means up to twice per year depending on the cycle as security vulnerabilities and defects often demand it more than once). - Working with Splunk Support for all Cloud-based upgrades as well as any issues impacting the environment that require deploying changes to address. - Splunk RBAC – Experience in administering Splunk Role based access control by providing access to only the required roles. - Fulfilling documentation and reporting for audit requirements, SOPs, Job Aids, etc. - Strong troubleshooting skills are required which helps to restore Splunk ASAP in case of any outages/issues.
