Key Responsibilities - Own and maintain development standards, coding guidelines, and architectural patterns for the AI & Automation team - Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical sign-off on solution designs before development commences - Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tooling and frameworks aligned with AWS-first architecture - Engage with business stakeholders to define the problem statement, requirements, and processes - Design, develop and deploy production-grade AI and automation solutions using Amazon Bedrock, Python, AI orchestration, and AWS serverless services - Own end-to-end CI/CD pipeline design, configuration and improvement using GitLab; approve peer merge requests before code progresses to Dev/Test or Production - Take ongoing ownership of deployed AI solutions in production, including monitoring, incident response and post-incident review Skills & Experience - 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with strong focus on AI/ML systems - Strong proficiency in Python (API development, automation, data processing) - Hands-on experience building and deploying production AI applications on Amazon Bedrock, including model selection, prompt engineering, and guardrail configuration - Deep experience with CI/CD pipeline design and ownership, preferably in GitLab - Proficient in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including AWS serverless architecture - Proven ability to define, document and enforce coding and development standards in a team environment - Experience performing code review and GitLab merge approval at a senior level - Demonstrated ability to deliver AI solutions with measurable revenue uplift or cost reduction. What We Offer Working at Vocus will give you rewarding experiences and the opportunity to do extraordinary work. You will enjoy: - Diverse and dynamic teams with a supportive and inclusive culture. - Supportive career development plans with comprehensive ongoing training, support, and development opportunities. - Generous discounts to over 400 retailers. - Competitive leave options, including anniversary leave, purchased leave, parental leave, volunteering leave, study leave, and 5 extra days of Vocus leave each year, plus more. - Study assistance programs to excel your personal growth, learning and development. - Health and wellness offerings, including access to our wellbeing initiatives that can help you from a financial, psychological, and physical perspective.
