How You'll Make An Impact As a Software Engineer 2, you will contribute to the development of backend systems and services, working closely with senior engineers to build scalable and efficient solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies in Agentic AI applications. What You Will Do - Develop and maintain backend services using Python or Java. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices. - Contribute to the development and testing of features, ensuring code quality through comprehensive testing. - Participate in code reviews, learning from feedback and contributing constructive suggestions to peers. - Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues in development and production environments. - Engage in continuous learning to stay current with emerging technologies and development practices. The Experience You Bring - Programming Skills: Strong foundational programming skills in Python or Java. Comfortable writing clear, efficient code and understanding core programming concepts including data structures and algorithms. - Database Fundamentals: Solid understanding of database concepts with hands-on experience in SQL and exposure to NoSQL databases. Knowledge of database design principles, normalization, and writing efficient queries. - Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Familiarity with RESTful API design and development. - Agentic AI: Demonstrated interest and some hands-on experience with Agentic AI applications. Understanding of basic AI agent concepts and exposure to building or experimenting with agentic systems using frameworks such as AWS Bedrock, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar tools. - Software Quality: Commitment to writing high-quality code with experience in unit testing. Familiarity with testing frameworks and understanding the importance of code quality and maintainability. - Version Control: Experience in Git and understanding of collaborative development workflows. - Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and willingness to learn from challenges. - Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly. Strong collaboration mindset and eagerness to work effectively in team environments. - Learning Mindset: Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies, tools, and best practices in software engineering.
