Senior Automation & Solutions Architect
Divert
• Design, deliver, and drive key technical activities for automation and software solutions; • Work hand-in-hand with the business and technology teams to define, deliver, build, and improve technology solutions that will power Divert; • Apply IT skills throughout the project lifecycle, implementing low code solutions, and developing in a Microsoft-based environment; • Create the overall technical vision, outlining development phases and driving delivery; • Create and drive automation roadmap; • Focus on core food diversion processes, including software automation solutions for logistics, transportation, finance, and customer success; • Develop software solutions that will power technologies including but not limited to RFID, Machine Vision, GPS, and industrial weighing technology; • Technical design and implementation of IT solutions tailored to specific business needs; • Develop efficient workflows, streamline operations and enhance productivity leveraging the Microsoft power platform and related tools; • Measurably improve business process KPIs, developing and maintaining a roadmap for process automation; • Advise project teams from design to delivery and help to enable end-users to automate their own tasks; • Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot the root cause of business and technical issues; • Deliver innovative solutions which meet business needs and opportunities by integrating information, business process refinement, and technology; • Identify opportunities to increase internal process efficiency by applying novel technology concepts to existing business processes; • Translate business requirements into technical specifications, independently designing and coding system functionality, and developing cost-effective applications and program solutions; • Participate in feature scoping, discovery, and translate user features into application design.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology, plus five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.
- Alternatively, will accept Masters Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology, plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or closely related technical role.
- Must have two (2) years of experience in the following: Making architectural decisions according to requirements; database data modeling; implementing web pages; developing presentation layers; designing storage procedures; and the following technologies: Net 1.1, ASP.Net, VB.Net, ADO.Net, SQL Server 2K5, ERWIN, Web Services, WCF REST, SOAP, AJAX, HTML5, LINQ, VSS, XML, CSS, Win XP, C#, and JQuery.

• You be responsible for IT solutions that support a broader global business process domain. • For the domain assigned, they will create and maintain a strategy, vision, roadmap, project portfolio including budget and resources. • Conduct research on new technologies, design solutions, and monitor compliance with these activities. • Take leadership roles in projects as assigned. • Work with customers to understand requirements. • Identify the different architect domains required to participate in the solutions definitions and orchestrate the work with them to convert those requirements into technical solutions. • Work with executives within the business to identify long-term needs, understand the business processes architecture, and transfer those requirements to the solutions. • Lead, guide, and develop the O-I IT strategic direction for projects assigned. • Coordinate and align with technology domains architects and the business for the development of the solutions architecture aligned on target architecture(s). • Get buy-in and the needed level of participation from the business areas and from Technology Domain Architects from the very start of the projects. • Keep the global strategic vision for projects assigned. • Work with leadership to make recommendations on effective staffing and long-term support models. • Define concrete solutions for a project or application. • Define detailed solution specifications fitting to solution sketches. • Design effective change readiness approaches for existing and new technologies. • Lead the definition of technical standards and guidelines that pertain to the projects assigned, taking input from across the globe. • Monitor the global project portfolio for the project assigned. Intervene when necessary to ensure compliance with planned roadmap, budget limitations, resource constraints, and established standards. • Monitor regulatory guidelines to determine impact on enterprise architecture. Make recommendations for compliance. • Monitor emerging technologies and make recommendations regarding changes in our established standards. • Lead testing for promising technologies for usefulness in our environment. • Monitor the work of global delivery teams to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures. • Work collaboratively with teams to course correct if necessary. • Escalate issues when necessary. Work with customers to understand requirements and convert those into technical solutions.
