About the role Appfire is looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager to operate at the intersection of business and technology. You will lead enterprise technical initiatives alongside business, engineers, and/or technical ensuring structured execution, strong stakeholder alignment, and high-quality decision-making. You’ll support global initiatives across AMER, EMEA, and APAC. This is a fully remote role within a distributed team. The position reports to a Senior Manager based in EMEA (Spain). Because we operate across time zones, flexibility in working hours is required to support effective global collaboration. Your everyday tasks will include: Lead Technical Initiatives - Drive complex initiatives across IT, Engineering, and enterprise business platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, Atlassian products, and other operational systems). - Lead and support a diverse range of initiatives, including OKR framework implementation, M&A integrations, enterprise system redesigns (e.g., Salesforce data model changes), rollout of new enterprise tools (e.g., NetSuite), and cross-system integrations to enable reliable source-of-truth reporting and automation. - Partner closely with engineers, architects, and security teams during system implementations, integrations, and migrations. - Facilitate structured discussions and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical decisions. - Translate business goals into clear delivery plans with defined scope, risks, milestones, and decision points. - Provide clear, outcome-focused reporting tailored to different stakeholders. - Enable delivery aligned to sponsor expectations, balancing scope, timeline, and value. - Identify risks early, surface trade-offs, and drive resolution with accountability. Reinforce PMO Standards - Apply PMO standards where they add clarity, structure, and value. - Enforce consistent work management standards for tracking and reporting, adjusting the level of detail based on project complexity. - Improve templates, reporting practices, and ways of working. - Actively dogfood Appfire products and provide structured feedback to Product teams. - Proactively identify opportunities to innovate within the PMO by leveraging AI and automation tools (e.g., Slack integrations, workflow automations, AI-assisted reporting) to elevate delivery quality and efficiency. - Contribute to our PM Community of Practice, sharing best practices and strengthening PMO engagement. Skills and experience you'll need to succeed: - 5+ years leading complex, enterprise-wide technical initiatives end-to-end, spanning multiple functions, systems, and stakeholder groups. - Technical fluency to engage meaningfully with engineers, architects, and security teams. You can navigate discussions on integrations, infrastructure decisions, data migrations, and security trade-offs—not as the technical owner, but as a facilitator who asks the right questions and drives clarity. - Demonstrated experience applying AI and automation within the Project Management domain to elevate delivery quality, reporting, and workflow efficiency. You actively integrate AI tools into your daily ways of working. - You leverage AI to accelerate personal learning, explore new domains, and continuously expand your technical and operational knowledge. - Comfortable challenging assumptions, surfacing risks, and ensuring technical decisions align with business objectives. - Able to translate effectively between technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience working across global, multi-timezone teams in a remote environment. - Strong execution discipline with proactive risk management. - Ability to simplify complexity and bring structure to ambiguity. - Comfortable influencing without formal authority. - Able to adapt communication to different audiences, anticipate stakeholder reactions, and drive alignment across technical and business teams. - Exposure to OKR-driven or outcome-based environments. - Experience contributing to process improvements. - Growth mindset and interest in improving how teams operate.
