The Role We launched the Propel Marketplace to connect our ~5M monthly active users to products, services, and exclusive offers from leading brands across grocery and retail, healthcare, telecoms, financial services, and auto. It has grown into a powerful, industry-leading performance tool for our partners and a critical revenue driver for Propel. We have strong product market fit, our users love our app, and our customers love that we have a significant reach and engagement with our users. We’re looking for an Insights & Strategy Lead to own our Car Insurance and Financial Services verticals. Here's how you'll impact the company - Drive account revenue growth through data-driven upselling and optimisation: Partner closely with Customer Success to identify and quantify high-impact upsell opportunities, build compelling data-driven sales materials, and maintain critical business intelligence on key accounts to inform expansion strategies - AI fluency: You proactively explore ways to use AI tools to deepen your analysis and improve team workflows (for example, using Claude or Gemini to automate reporting, generate client narratives,and accelerate ad hoc analysis). We’re looking for someone who knows when and where to use AI tools to accelerate great judgment - Shape and execute vertical strategy through deep vertical expertise and problem-solving: Monitor industry trends, develop intelligence on vertical business models and unit economics, and present actionable growth strategies to Marketplace leadership - Deliver analytics and operational support that strengthens customer relationships: Own reporting, billing, conversion rate updates, and campaign QA in collaboration with Ad Ops; support Customer Success with client performance materials - Strengthen the broader team's analytical foundation: Contribute to dashboards and tooling, identify and resolve data issues with Data Science, and help drive continuous improvements to Insights processes and systems Requirements - 4-6 years of experience in an analytically driven role (Business Analysis, Product Analytics etc.). We set our salary ranges using compensation data from hundreds of NYC-based startups at our stage. Additionally, pay is not determined based on location. Compensation for this position includes base salary and a performance-based bonus. The expected base salary for the role is $120,000 - $160,000. The bonus is a combination of individual and team revenue performance. The total on-target earnings (OTE) is $132,000 - $176,000. Equity and excellent benefits come with this position as well!
