As part of the Commercial Team, the Solution Engineer plays a key role in guiding prospects and customers in adopting modern travel technology to improve performance, enhance customer experience, and support scalable growth. You will contribute directly to deal strategy and customer acquisition, partnering closely with the sales team to progress opportunities. You will design and present tailored solutions, ensuring they align with customer requirements and can be delivered within Kaptio’s platform capabilities. This includes understanding technical needs, defining integrations, and supporting a smooth transition into implementation. Acting as a trusted advisor throughout the sales journey, you will combine business insight with technical expertise to design effective solutions, deliver compelling demonstrations, and ensure alignment between customer goals and our product offering. Your work will directly contribute to successful deals and long term customer partnerships. - Strong experience in pre-sales and solution architecture within the Salesforce ecosystem. - Experience in the travel industry, with an understanding of relevant business models and workflows. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non technical and C suite audiences. - Clear understanding of the sales process and ability to support deal progression in a fast paced environment. - Ability to translate business requirements into commercially viable solutions. - Experience designing and integrating solutions, including working with APIs and system architecture principles. - Strong stakeholder management skills across business and technical audiences. - Ability to work collaboratively while taking initiative and driving outcomes. Desirable Skills - Experience contributing to proposals, RFP responses, or solution documentation. - Relevant certifications and a degree in Information Technology or a related field. - Customer Engagement: Lead and support prospect engagements as the technical expert during pre-sales. Deliver effective product demonstrations, ask the right questions to uncover underlying business challenges, and translate requirements into solution direction. - Customer Guidance: Help stakeholders understand the strategic value of partnering with Kaptio. Use insight and technical expertise to move conversations beyond immediate fixes toward decisions that support growth, efficiency, and long term advantage. - Solution Architecture: Design and present tailored solutions aligned to customer requirements, leveraging a strong understanding of product capabilities and integration options. Address technical questions and objections with confidence. - Technical Demonstrations: Develop and deliver tailored demonstrations that clearly communicate value and align with deal strategy. - Sales Enablement: Support the Commercial Team with technical expertise, strengthening proposals and helping progress opportunities through the sales cycle. - Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Delivery, and leadership to ensure solutions are viable and can be successfully implemented. Provide clear documentation to support handover. - Feedback Loop: Capture and synthesise customer insights to inform product development and improve the sales process. Work Environment This role requires travel to meet with customers, partners, and internal teams. A flexible approach is expected, including remote working and participation in meetings outside standard hours. Role Description We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our BPaaS (Business Process as a Service) technology team. The Solutions Architect will be responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing cloud-native solutions across our BPaaS environment. This role requires deep expertise in cloud platforms, DevOps practices, middleware integration (Informatica, MuleSoft, or Edifecs), and strong network/security design to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that align with client and program requirements. Key Responsibilities - Architecture & Design - Define and maintain the overall architecture blueprint for the BPaaS environment, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. - Design and implement integration patterns using middleware gateways (Edifecs, Informatica, MuleSoft) to support enterprise connectivity. - Translate business and technical requirements into detailed architecture and solution designs. - Cloud & DevOps Enablement - Lead adoption and optimization of cloud-native services (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for application hosting, integration, and data services. - Partner with DevOps teams to establish CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment strategies. - Implement high-availability, disaster recovery, and capacity planning solutions. - Integration & Middleware - Oversee configuration and performance optimization of integration gateways (e.g., Edifecs XEngine/IG, MuleSoft API Gateway, Informatica). - Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth partner-to-partner and system-to-system integrations. - Define governance standards for APIs, data exchange, and message transformation. - Network & Security - Provide guidance on enterprise network architecture, including routing, VPN, and firewall design. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and other regulatory standards by embedding security best practices into solution design. - Partner with InfoSec to implement identity/access management, encryption, and monitoring frameworks. - Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with business, technical, and vendor stakeholders to align solution designs with program objectives. - Present architectural options and recommendations to leadership and client teams. - Provide mentorship and technical guidance to development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
