VP, EMR DATA STRATEGY ALLIANCES - POSITION SUMMARY: - Define and lead Mosaic's EMR data strategy—establishing the vision, priorities, and roadmap for accessing structured clinical data at scale across our partner and client network. - Build and manage strategic alliances with EHR vendors (Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, and others) at the enterprise level, positioning Mosaic as a trusted integration and innovation partner. - Identify and pursue data alliance opportunities with health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, QHINs, and third-party data intermediaries that can accelerate access to high-quality clinical data. - Structure and negotiate complex data agreements—including data use agreements, API partnerships, and multi-party alliance contracts—in close collaboration with Legal. - Drive the embedding of clinical data access rights into Mosaic's commercial frameworks, ensuring new and existing agreements support our long-term data strategy. - Partner with Product and Engineering to translate strategic data access into implemented integration serving as the bridge between external alliances and internal technical execution. - Evaluate the evolving landscape of FHIR-enabled platforms, HIEs, and data intermediaries; make informed build-vs-partner recommendations that balance speed and long-term strategic control. - Represent Mosaic's EMR data strategy to senior leadership and external stakeholders; serve as the company's authority on clinical data interoperability and the competitive dynamics it creates. - Up to 50% travel; this role demands frequent engagement with external partners, health systems, and vendors across the US and internationally. DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Proven track record of developing and closing strategic data or technology partnerships with large, complex healthcare organizations. - 15+ years of experience in EMR Data and/or related fields. - Deep familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR R4, HL7) and the major EHR vendor ecosystems; understanding of what it takes to negotiate access at the platform level, not just the site level. - Experience structuring complex data agreements and navigating the legal and compliance landscape around healthcare data (HIPAA, BAAs, data governance frameworks). - Experience with AI/ML-enabled healthcare solutions, PACS/Imaging, clinical decision support, or data analytics platforms. - Executive presence and relationship-building skills; ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders at health systems, IDNs, and technology vendors. - Strategic and commercial mindset—able to frame clinical data access as a value driver for partners and translate that into agreements that move quickly. - Familiarity with clinical workflows in acute care and radiology; ability to connect data strategy to real clinical and product use cases.
