• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of end-to-end data architecture frameworks (e.g., databases, data warehouses, data lakes) supporting enterprise IT systems • Define API-first, microservices-based integration architectures to modernize legacy interfaces • Establish metadata-driven data frameworks, including schema standards, data contracts, and reusable pipeline design • Define data models, canonical schemas, and data standards aligned to DoD requirements • Architect data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines • Lead development of data governance, quality, and validation frameworks, including AI/ML-enabled data cleansing approaches • Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations • Evaluate and recommend data technologies and tools • Guide as-is/to-be data architecture analysis, interface design, and system integration strategy • Mentor data engineers and ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices

Position Purpose: Develops and operationalizes data pipelines to make data available for consumption (reports and advanced analytics), including data ingestion, data transformation, data validation / quality, data pipeline optimization, and orchestration. Engages with the DevSecOps Engineer during continuous integration and continuous deployment. - Designs and implements standardized data management procedures around data staging, data ingestion, data preparation, data provisioning, and data destruction (scripts, programs, automation, assisted by automation, etc.) - Designs, develops, implements, tests, documents, and operates large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for business intelligence analytics - Designs, develops, and maintains real-time processing applications and real-time data pipelines - Ensure quality of technical solutions as data moves across Centene’s environments - Provides insight into the changing data environment, data processing, data storage, and utilization requirements for the company and offers suggestions for solutions - Develops, constructs, tests, and maintains architectures using programming language and tools - Identifies ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality; use data to discover tasks that can be automated - Performs other duties as assigned - Complies with all policies and standards Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 2 – 4 years of related experience. • Develop database solutions to securely store and retrieve Client information utilizing the Client’s Amazon Web Services, (AWS) data warehouse and data lake architecture. • Rewrite SSIS packages to a modern framework using Docker, Node, Python, dbt. • Analyze existing package to plan and develop roadmap for code conversion. • Perform data testing and data quality checks. • Analyze and recommend performance improvements to Redshift Datawarehouse. • Extend and apply security for data warehouse usage.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services • Own the data engineering framework, including pipeline patterns, orchestration standards, and reusable components • Collaborate with data scientists, Software engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions • Define, document, and enforce best practices for ADF, Databricks, Spark, and data modeling • Implement and maintain data storage solutions using Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Cosmos DB • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation, cleansing, and transformation processes • Implement data quality checks, validation frameworks, and monitoring for critical data assets • Design and support governance patterns leveraging Databricks Unity Catalog and Azure-native controls • Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and solutions
