Position Overview: This is an opportunity to join our team and lead components of large projects that involve working with school behavioral health leaders to implement comprehensive multi-tiered school behavioral systems. In this role, you will serve as a project or task lead, managing project scope, timelines, and deliverables, and contributing to budget and resource planning. This position is focused on leading technical assistance and content development related to data-based decision making using social, emotional, and behavioral data within MTSS frameworks. You will coordinate and guide teams composed of WestEd staff and collaborators to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of project goals, while working both independently and in consultation with senior leaders. You will engage directly with clients and partners at the state, county, and district levels, contributing to the development of high-impact resources, tools, and presentations, and supporting visibility of the work through meetings, convenings, and conferences. This role may also contribute to proposal development and strategic planning for new and existing projects. Familiarity with California school behavioral health policy is preferred. What We’re Looking For Our ideal candidate understands the role of technical assistance and evaluation as it relates to school-based behavioral health systems, mental/behavioral health intervention and assessment, culturally responsive and sustainable practice, data-based decision-making, and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports.We are seeking a candidate who: - Master’s or doctoral degree in school psychology, social work, child and adolescent behavioral health, psychology, education, special education, educational leadership, or another related field. - 5+ years experience coordinating and/or leading technical assistance for schools and/or districts to implement school behavioral health supports and services within a MTSS/PBIS framework. - Fluent with social, behavioral, and emotional data (e.g., universal screening), as well as practices and systems to support school behavioral health progress monitoring, evaluation, and decision making. - Experience leading resource development including briefs, presentations, and tools to support implementation. - Excellent communicator that can convey complex, technical ideas clearly and effectively to implementers, policymakers, and other key partners. - Team-oriented and an excellent collaborator, while also being able to take initiative and work independently. - Strategic thinker, with an ability to solve problems, identify opportunities, and generate next steps. - Experience managing projects, timelines, and deliverables and working with state or regional education agencies. Travel of up to 15% is required, including occasional overnight stays. Travel may involve Sunday departures and the use of various modes of transportation to reach client sites. *Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. SALARY AND BENEFITS: The full salary range for this position, WestEd level (11), is $106,000 to $165,600, but WestEd does not typically hire at or near the top of the salary range. The typical hiring range for this role is $106,000 to $132,500. The actual offer considers multiple factors, including but not limited to education, experience, internal equity, and other organizational needs. In this context, the Programme & Community Fellow will support the day-to-day implementation of the Online Game Development Bootcamp by assisting with programme coordination, participant engagement, and community management. The Fellow will play a key role in fostering an active and inclusive learning community across cohorts, supporting communication between participants, mentors, and trainers, and contributing to the tracking of participation, progress, and graduation outcomes. Through this role, the Fellow will help strengthen learner engagement and support the sustainability of the bootcamp’s community beyond the training period.
