Test Automation Engineer

Role Description We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to lead and scale our frontend and end-to-end testing infrastructure—ensuring our React and Next.js applications are fast, stable, and flawless. - Develop, maintain, and scale end-to-end test automation for our web applications using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript). - Write clean, reusable, and modular test code that aligns with product requirements and reflects real-world user behavior. - Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, designers, and product managers to define test coverage and acceptance criteria. - Validate features built with React and Next.js, including SSR/SSG flows, dynamic routing, and component interactions. - Ensure coverage for all major browsers (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit) and environments (mobile/desktop). - Optimize test performance using smart isolation, mocking, and CI/CD integration. - Analyze flaky tests and build robust pipelines with retrial, trace viewing, and reporting. - Participate in agile rituals: sprint planning, code reviews, stand-ups, and retros. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in test automation for modern web applications, with proven experience in Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript. - Deep understanding of testing React and Next.js applications, including component and routing behavior. - Hands-on experience with writing and maintaining E2E tests, using Playwright's test runner or integration in a Next.js context. - Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows (branching, pull requests, CI integrations). - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for both test and product issues. - Knowledge of web performance metrics, accessibility checks, and frontend reliability patterns. Requirements - Experience with unit testing tools like Jest, Vitest, or React Testing Library. - Familiarity with backend APIs (REST, GraphQL) and integration testing. - Exposure to performance testing, visual regression tools, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI). - Experience working in cross-functional teams within an agile environment. - Comfort with logging, tracing, and debugging in a headless and cross-browser environment.
