Job Description

Naval Marine Engineer

CACI International Inc

• Support the design, development, and construction of main machinery and ship systems • Develop preliminary system designs including schematics and ship specifications • Provide direct support to Navy Ship Design Managers (SDMs) • Travel to perform shipchecks based on ship availability • Development of marine auxiliary and piping systems • Conduct supportability studies to determine current and future supportability levels

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • 4 or more years of working with shipbuilding design or Navy systems
  • Experience in ship auxiliary systems
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and develop mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Detailed knowledge of U.S. Regulatory Body standards
  • Experience with Military Sealift Command (MSC) marine engineering or Navy design practices
  • Solid understanding of naval engineering disciplines and project management principles
  • Willing and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
