ECAD Librarian

Role Description Emerald Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled ECAD Librarian to manage the inflow, creation, and quality of ECAD library assets across multiple customer ecosystems. This role is critical to maintaining Optimum’s industry-leading reputation for precision, quality, and customer advocacy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically proficient in ECAD tools, and passionate about maintaining exceptional quality standards while serving as a trusted point of contact for customers. - Gatekeeper of ECAD library assets (symbols, PCB footprints, 3D models, parametric meta data, etc.) for various customers. - Daily library creation of schematic symbols, PCB footprints, 3D STEP models, and part number parametric meta data for a variety of ECAD tools. - Guardian of Optimum’s reputation by ensuring quality is 99.8% or better. - Communication with customers as needed. - Resolve library issues as they arise. - Daily hygiene of Optimum’s Library Time Tracker Database. - Help grow existing business by effectively being customer advocate. Qualifications - AA degree or better. - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). - Effective organization, planning, and prioritization skills. - Good understanding of PCB Layout techniques and processes within the context of meeting mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing requirements is preferred. - Proficient utilizing two or more of the following tools: Mentor Expedition, PADS, and Dx Designer. Cadence Allegro and Orcad Capture. Xpedition EDM preferred. - Excellent knowledge of relevant IPC standards is preferred.
